My name is Louise Marland and I reside in Gawler with my 6 year old daughter, pup and 2 cats! By need more than desire, I spent most of my life in sales and the corporate world. I always met or exceeded targets and budgets. I was able to train and push my staff to do the same. Deep down though, I didn't enjoy selling things or concepts to people who either didn't need it, couldn't afford it or really needed something different. I didn't enjoy pushing staff to achieve, increasing their stress levels. I wasn't selling anything dodgy or a scam, but i just didn't enjoy what I was doing. I left home in my early teens though, so i needed to support myself. At a time when Maccas and KFC were paying around $4 an hour, I saw a job "talk on the phone, $10 per hour". And so began my life in sales with a start as a telemarketer after school and on weekends. I never had the opportunity explore my passions and what I would enjoy doing. I just knew I had to make money to pay the rent. Fast forward a lot of years, and I ceased my corporate life, to finally become a Mum. The last 6 years has given me the opportunity to finally consider what is my passion. What would best fit into my life as a single Mum, for my Daughter and I. I soon realised I wanted to be the best Mum and person I can be, by being healthy and making the best lifestyle choices for myself and my daughter. I had some learning to do how best achieve this, via nutrition and keeping the body in as best shape as possible to reduce the chance of disease and health problems, and be an almost 50 year old Mum who can still skip rope, jump on a scooter at the park or just sit on the floor to play imaginative games. Without needing assistance to do so! Prior to starting my Nutrition and Massage study, I could do some things, but my back, hips, knees were all starting to scream out to me at times. I had headaches, digestion issues and anxiety issues. I was still keeping up with my Daughter though, just! I am now qualified in massage and almost a fully qualified Nutritionist and can state that my joints don't cause me issues, my digestion has settled down completely (a lifetime of not knowing that bloating, gas, reflux were not just normal) and my mind is much clearer. I never realised at the start of my journey how the Mind-Body-Gut are connected and nutrition affects all processes of the body. Mindy, body and soul. My goal now is to assist people with a similar journey to health and happiness. I provide a welcoming, safe, relaxing and non-judgmental environment to help people reduce review and understand their health concerns . To inspire people to be proactive about their health rather than reactive. Thanks for reading my story. Stay healthy, happy and strong,
Louise xo
