Holding the pose teaches kids to breathe through big feelings, stay grounded, and manage stress (even if someone stole their favourite toy).

It’s like giving their emotions a cozy yoga mat to chill on.

Nothing says “I’ve got this” like Warrior Pose!

When kids strike this strong, open pose, they’re practicing confidence from the outside in.

Standing tall with arms wide helps them feel powerful, capable, and just a little bit unstoppable.

We highly recommend adding a ROAR! for full effect.

Warrior Pose helps kids FOCUS!

Balancing in this pose takes just enough concentration to quiet the wiggles (for a moment at least).

It teaches kids how to find their center, physically and mentally, without needing to cast a spell.

Bonus: It might help with remembering where they put their shoes. Maybe.

Pose of the Week: WARRIOR POSE!

AKA: The “I Am Stronger Than My Homework” Pose

This week at Little Lotus Kids Yoga, we’re stepping into our inner warriors!
Warrior Pose is all about balance, strength, and standing tall, even if your socks are mismatched. (We don’t judge. Warrior feet come in all styles!)

How to do it:

1. Step one foot forward like you're bravely entering the snack zone.

2. Bend your front knee, keep your back leg strong.

3. Raise your arms up high or out wide like you're saying, "I’ve got this!"

4. Take a deep breath in... and maybe let out a warrior “RAWR!” (optional but highly recommended).

Warrior Pose helps build confidence, stretches growing bodies, and reminds kids they’ve got the power to face any wobbly moment.

So let’s get grounded, get giggly, and get our warrior on this week!

"And just like that... our week of cozy Child’s Pose adventures comes to a close!

We stretched, we snuggled, and we mastered the art of pausing like sleepy kittens and superhero seeds.

Child’s Pose reminds us that sometimes the bravest thing you can do... is take a little pause. (And maybe sneak in a mini nap!)

But get ready Little Lotuses, next week we’re swapping cozy for STRONG and BRAVE!

There will be big stances, powerful arms, and hearts full of courage.

"If you ever need a hide and seek champion move, Child’s Pose is IT.

Curl up small like a tiny hedgehog, breathe nice and slow, and stay super still.

(Warning: you might be SO relaxed you forget you’re playing!)
Bonus: while you’re hiding, your back, hips, and shoulders are getting a secret stretch.

Sometimes little bodies get SO full of energy they need a landing pad!

Child’s Pose is like a squishy, soft parachute for your whole body, it helps you slow down gently (instead of crash landing into the couch!).

Perfect for after running, jumping, climbing, twirling... or just feeling all the feels."

Child’s Pose is the perfect move for a cat nap (without actually falling asleep on the mat... unless you want to!)

Stretch your paws out, tuck your nose down, and pretend you're snoozing in a cozy sunbeam.
