changed from one of my most disliked postures to one of my favourite postures when Simon Borg-Olivier () explained in a workshop many years ago that this posture should have side flexion in the spine. This changed everything!⠀

This variation with my bottom hand reaching towards my back foot ensures you don't lean on your leg. And I lengthen the upper shoulder away from the upper hip to create length while lifting the ribs and waist of the lower side (my right side in this image) away from the thigh to encourage more side flexion.⠀
This posture gives length and strength down the side of the body creating lateral stability which is so important as we age to help prevent falls.
