As many if you know I have taken a step back over Dec & Jan to make some changes here at Essentia Therapies with the intention of transitioning into a mobile/ community based model. After careful consideration I have made the difficult decision to cease practicing for the foreseeable future. This decision is made up of many parts but ultimately I am needing to make alternative choices for the season of life I find myself in.

I consider myself incredibly blessed to have had the support of such wonderful folks over the years and I truly appreciate each one of you. Thank you for trusting me with your well-being and inspiring me throughout my time running Essentia Therapies.

From a buisness standpoint I am still working through the elements of wrapping things up for the rest of Feb and can be contacted through here and also via email at essentiatherapies@outlook.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Hey Folks,

I wanted to share some important news about the future of Essentia Therapies. After some careful consideration I have decided to scale back and restructure to better support both my wellbeing and evolving life circumstances.

Until Dec 8th I will continue to operate as usual in my space in Highton, then I will be transitioning into operating within community and offering a mobile service only in the new year.

There are a few things that come into effect immediately as I work towards winding down this year at my fixed location. At the moment I will only be seeing current clients, with the exception of those who have gift cards to use (there will be other options for you if you have an outstanding gift card, please get into contact with me)
I am still available as usual in my space in Highton however booking online is no longer available, please contact me directly 🙌

I have spoken to many of you already and I'm so grateful for the support and kind words of encouragement as I re- work things (and take a welllll overdue holiday 😂) so thank you! 🙏 If we have not chatted yet I will be in contact very soon.

Keep an eye out as I bring more updates over the coming month 👁

A lush study day 🌿
I am halfway through my studies in the first module of Oncology Massage with Oncology Massage Global. I've been so impressed with the content and blown away by the impact it has had on me as a practitioner in just a short period of time.
This knowledge and training will help me provide a continuum of care and support to folks who suddenly find themselves navigating the complex terrain of cancer diagnosis and treatment. The learning also translates to working with illness and frail health in safe and effective ways (not just limited to cancer). It's truly beautiful work and I am so excited to be deepening in my craft 🙌

Hey folks ✨️
I thought it was time to re-introduce myself as it's been a little while and there are alot of new faces around here!

I'm Sam 👋 and I am the sole practitioner here at Essentia Therapies. I have been professionally practicing bodywork since 2015, assisting people from all walks of life improve their health and wellbeing.

Folks often ask me what got me into this line of work, I think the work chose me quite frankly and this is where many of my natural gifts reside. I have had all sorts of jobs and “sort-of” career paths before I really found my groove. I am continually fascinated by the healing arts and humbled by the effect this work has on my life.

I have developed a unique and holistic way of working that offers many opportunities for change and for deepening connection to our bodies’ innate wisdom and sensitivity.

To me, touch is a language and form of communication. I have carefully cultivated skilled touch that is deeply connected, considered and loving ~ this is at the heart of every session.

My clients value my commitment to their wellbeing, which extends beyond the session time, and enjoy the variety of modalities I draw upon in creating treatments that are supportive and nurturing.

When I am not in clinic or working I am letting my brain off the leash and reverting to my little more chaotic self. I love being creative and making things, exploring nature, cooking (and eating!), porch sitting with copious amounts of tea, thrift shopping (people tell me I have a magical knack for finding amazing treasures), going to the cinema, spending time with my friends and family, being an Aunty to a bunch of tiny humans, going to the cinema and cuddling dogs ❤️

Many of you ask about the Lavender oil I use, as there is just something about this particular one that is unlike any other I have experienced. It's like a big hug from someone you love ❤️ It's so special.
I get my oils from Claire (who used to teach me back at Southern School of Natural Therapies!), she offers a huge range and takes incredible care to source high quality & ethical oils.
I am hoping to stock some very soon in clinic also 🌿
