The Wandering Man Welcome, while Men’s Mental Health has been hidden from the public eye, it is of paramount importance to the well-being of our community.

The Wandering Man - Creating a supportive environment for men’s mental health involves a multi-faceted approach, both in personal spaces such as the home or workplace, and in wider community settings. In Geelong, Victoria, we’re striving to bring this issue to light and provide support where it’s needed most. Men’s mental health is an often-overlooked aspect of our societal well-being, yet it is e

qually as important as any other facet of healthcare. In Geelong, the challenges that men face can be as diverse as the population itself, ranging from stress and anxiety related to employment or financial pressures, to more severe mental health conditions such as depression and PTSD. While societal norms have traditionally dictated a stoic demeanour among men, it’s crucial to understand that vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, but rather an aspect of the human condition. In our community, we’re working to shift the paradigm, encouraging men to speak openly about their mental health and seek support without stigma or judgment.

Another week moving quickly and Wednesday’s rolled around again, which means it’s time for The Wandering Man Coffee Catch-Up. ☕️

Midweek can get a bit hectic for all of us, which is why these catch-ups are important. A coffee, a few laughs, and a good chat with solid blokes can really help reset the week.

No expectations, no pressure to talk if you don’t want to — just a relaxed space to sit down, connect, and take a breather from everything going on.

Mate, we just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you do behind the scenes for The Wandering Man. A lot of people only see the BBQs, the catch-ups and the support happening out front, but blokes like you are a huge part of why it all works.
The quiet background work, the help, the support, the time you gave to the BBQ trailer,it never goes unnoticed. You’re also always there for the cold dips, turning up and encouraging the boys no matter the weather. It takes good men willing to step up for other men, and we are genuinely grateful for all you do.
You’ve helped create a space where blokes can connect, open up, have a laugh, and know they’re not alone. That means more than words can explain.
Hope you have an absolute ripper of a birthday mate, you deserve it. Thanks again for being such an important part of The Wandering Man family

What a privilege today was for the team at The Wandering Man.

Ray, Chris, George and myself were up before sunrise and headed up the highway to Bundoora, where we had the honour of cooking breakfast and speaking about well-being, mental health, and the work we do within the community.

We were incredibly grateful to be invited by MC Labour as part of a major construction safety presentation attended by industry leaders including Icon Construction, Built, ADCO, Hansen Yuncken, LU Simon, and a number of construction companies committed to creating safer and healthier workplaces.

A very special thank you to Donald Cairney, Mark Lunedei and former AFL legend David Rhys-Jones from MC Labor for the opportunity, support and warm welcome.

These conversations matter. Breaking down stigma, supporting one another, and reminding everyone that it’s okay to speak up and it is something we are deeply passionate about.

Proud to represent The Wandering Man and continue spreading the message that no one walks alone.
