Hi Folks,
Just an update that for the next 11 weeks, I won’t be available at the clinic on Fridays.
I’ll be busy teaching Master of Public Health students at the Deakin University Burwood campus for the trimester. 👨🏻‍🎓

My mum Jillie Carter recently came home from Epworth Hospital Geelong after a very rough 7 weeks. I was heartened that the medical staff were more than happy for me to provide some naturopathic support to complement their life-saving treatments. I just don’t think this would have happened a decade ago. In the future, I may do some formal research on the policies (if any) Australian hospitals have in place to integrate orthodox and complementary medicines. But most importantly for now, welcome home mum! 🫶🏻

After 6 years, Naturopathy will be reinstated onto Private Health Insurance in Australia!

Many people (including myself!) have donated their time and expertise to help this become a reality! Thanks to everybody involved. 👏🏻

It will be up to each insurance provider to decide if they wish to provide cover. Please contact your individual provider for further information.

Australians will be able to access a range of natural therapies under their private health insurance following an independent review of their effectiveness.
