Our lovely Cassidy is now offering Occupational Therapy Supervision and Case Consultation.
Cassidy is an occupational therapist with over five years of clinical experience, primarily in paediatrics, with a strong focus on children under seven and extensive experience supporting children and young people up to 18 years. She also brings experience working with adults, supporting a broad understanding of occupational
performance across the lifespan.
Cassidy can provide supervision for assessments and reports including sensory assessments, functional capacity assessments and
supported independent living assessments. Cassidy currently works in an autism diagnostic role and has a strong grounding in
neurodivergence-affirming practice. She regularly engages in professional development, including training in pathological demand avoidance (PDA), sensory profiles and preferences, play-based approaches, DIR/floortime, and emotional regulation. This informs her supervision with a strong emphasis on clinical reasoning, formulation, and understanding the “why” behind behaviour.
Her clinical style is holistic, strengths-based, and family-centred, with a deep respect for the idea that people are the experts in their own lives. Cassidy supports early-career OTs to build confidence, trust their clinical instincts, and develop flexible, responsive approaches that align with their values — rather than relying on rigid programs or one-size-fits-all strategies.
Cassidy values reflective practice and practical problem-solving, offering supervision that is supportive and collaborative. Sessions are tailored to the supervisee’s goals and stage of practice, whether that’s navigating complex presentations, developing play-based therapy skills, understanding diagnoses, or finding ways to make therapy both effective and enjoyable. Cassidy believes that therapy should feel safe, meaningful, and engaging, prioritising play-based therapy to ensure it is enjoyable for clients. In supervision, she creates a space where early-career OTs can ask questions openly, explore uncertainty, and grow into confident, capable clinicians.
Cassidy strongly values sustainable practice and prioritises work–life balance, recognising the impact of burnout within allied health. She supports early-career OTs to develop realistic workloads, healthy boundaries, and reflective practices that protect their wellbeing alongside their professional growth. Cassidy believes that
caring for ourselves is essential to being able to show up consistently, ethically, and with longevity in our work.
