Our nervous systems are always talking to other nervous systems. When we have a calm, connected, regulated system this projects out into the world. We can literally feel it when around others 😊

Can others relate? I always remind myself that our system can have two different stories, one from the brain and the other from the body. We can tell ourselves that we need to relax but when we have adapted to always “doing” the nervous system can struggle to stop. Bringing this into conscious awareness is helpful, from this place we have choice. When I can name it to tame it I can feel it to heal it ❤️

Whilst acknowledging that this is easier said than done, the benefit of learning ways to observe and not absorb can have incredible benefits on our whole system. It can actually help us to live longer ❤️

What a beautiful young man who showed such vulnerability and courage to express his true self in that moment. I wanted to share as we often only get to see the other side of young men in the media.

This post resonated for me after being privileged enough to spend 5 days on a Fijian island with such peace and tranquility. It felt like my brain and my body had some time to connect with one another without the noise and sensory distractions of every day life. I was amazed at what showed up just by being able to have some quiet and stillness. It helped me to pay attention to the beauty around me and to notice the smaller things. I have set an intention with self to bring these moments of connection into my everyday life, and that I don’t have to be on an island to do this!
