I am beyond thrilled for this learner! ❤️They have made tremendous improvements in their skills to read. The book above is where we started and the book below is where they are at now! Achieving mastery in reading and writing the sounds she has learnt through segmenting and blending in only a weekly 50 min session over the last term and a half.

My heart just melted when she finished today’s session beaming whilst saying ‘I can read so much now!’ 🌸

Hi my name is Jay and I am a fully qualified VIT teacher with over 10 years of experience and Sounds-Write practitioner.

I deliver explicit tutoring of reading, writing and spelling using the Science of Reading approach ideal for neurodiverse students (dyslexia, low literacy, ADHD, ASD).

Hi, my name is Jay and have been a teacher in the region for over a decade. I love teaching and have a passion for the explicit teaching of reading, writing and spelling.
I have seen amazing results in the learning of these skills using the first rate synthetic phonics programme Sounds-Write.
Children are introduced to spellings through a carefully crafted sequence starting at the simple and moving towards the more complex.
The lessons use a multi-sensory approach, are fun and above all prove to be highly successful.
I always start with assessing each child and tailor the learning to suit them, incorporating a lot of fun along the way!
