We had a very special visitor at Dot to Dot this week! 💛

We were lucky enough to meet Karyn Connors, author of Kitty and I, and Raffy, the real-life dog behind the story 🐶

Raffy isn’t just a character. He’s an assistance dog whose connection with Kitty inspired a beautiful story that helps children understand big feelings like anxiety, in a gentle and relatable way.

We also got to spend time with the “comfort” Raffy, a soft companion designed to bring calm and reassurance when it’s needed most.

There’s something really powerful about the combination of story + connection + comfort, and how these can support children in feeling safe and understood.
Thank you, Karyn, for visiting us (and for the Raffy cuddles!) 🐾

Ever wondered what a paediatric speech pathologist actually does?

It’s so much more than supporting speech. We help children communicate, connect, play, understand others, and be understood in their world. From first words to social interaction, we work alongside families to build skills that make everyday life easier and more meaningful.

If you’ve had questions about your child’s communication, language, or development, this is your sign to explore it. Early support can make a big difference.

We currently have appointment openings available and would love to support your family. Reach out to learn more 💬

As Easter comes to a close, we’ve been taking a moment to slow down, recharge, and reflect.

The past few days gave our team a chance to come together, share some special moments, and celebrate with much laughter, and a very cute Easter bunny delivering treats. 🐰✨

For us, this time of year is a gentle reminder of the importance of rest, connection, and taking a pause before stepping back into the busy rhythm of everyday life.

We know our community is made up of a richness of different faiths, beliefs, and practices, and we hope this time has brought you moments of joy, calm, and time with the people who matter most.

From our Dot to Dot team to your family, we’re feeling refreshed, grateful, and ready for the term ahead!

Hey, it's Laura here. I wanted to take a moment to remind you of our purpose at Dot to Dot Early Intervention.

At our heart we're here to change your child's world so they don't need therapy. For a lot of our children this means helping you understand them, and supporting you to make their world a safe, stimulating and wonderful place.

Although therapy looks a bit different for each child, at the end of the day we want to help your child learn by providing you with the skills that will allow them to:

- communicate more easily
- eat and drink more foods
- feel calm at home, kinder or school
- feel strong, capable and proud

We know raising children with developmental differences and neurodiversity can be joyful and challenging, and we're here to help you through it. Thank you for allowing us to do this important work and for saying yes to letting us walk this path with you.

Be sure to reach out on ph: 0416 219 475 so we can answer any questions you might have around taking that first step towards changing your childs world.

Warm regards,

Laura Harvey
Director / Speech Pathologist
