Our Medical Director, Dr Kath Reynolds, has long been an advocate for prescribing Vitamin D3 supplements to her patients.

Our bodies require Vitamin D for proper functioning, and the depletion of its levels may be implicated in various diseases.

Recently, a study by the University of Eastern Finland has found that fewer cases of melanoma were observed among regular users of vitamin D supplements. The study involved nearly 500 individuals at elevated risk for skin cancer and showed that those who took vitamin D supplements regularly had a reduced incidence of melanoma compared to non-users.

Did you know we offer a range of different options for skin cancer checks here at ?

Our on-site GPs offer one on one skin checks, mole mapping appointments, dermoscopy and even excisions and biopsies on the day if there is a spot of particular concern.

Our skin cancer clinic is our one stop shop for prevention, detection and further investigation of spots. If we send a biopsy off and it needs further attention we will refer to a dermatologist or surgeon to ensure you and your skin is in the clear.
