Hello and welcome to my page! π
My name's Aimee and I'm a Disability Support Worker with 11 years experience supporting people from all walks of life - including children from as young as 18 months, to teenagers, and even adults as old as 70 years π
A little bit about me π€
I'm 28 years old and have spent my entire adult career working with people with disabilities. I knew what I wanted to do since the age of 16 so when I was 17 years old I completed my Certificate IV in Disability.
I was born in Melbourne but I have also lived in both the Grampians and Geelong where I have been ever since because I just love it in Geelong ποΈ
I have 2 crazy rescue cats named Nacho & Harry. My interests are Travel, Cars, Music, Animals, Art & Weightlifting.
The reason I have made this page is because after two years working in a leadership role I have decided to step away from leadership and branch out on my own so that I can focus less on managing staff and focus more on what I do best! Providing support to participants to achieve their goals βοΈ
What is my favourite thing about working in disability?
Every day is different. If I worked in a job where every day was the exact same I would be bored π

I love the challenges that support work brings and I feel rewarded when I've overcome these challenges. I love the feeling of seeing people empowered & living their best life and I view every goal as important as the next no matter how small or big they may be.
I have particular interests in goal planning & skills building, complex care and Autism Spectrum Disorder π
I am currently looking for new participants to support π If you feel that I could be your next support worker, or you have a participant or family member you think would like me to be their next support worker then please feel free to contact me using the information below π
Thanks for reading π€©
