I’ve been quiet on socials the last couple of weeks —
not from busyness…
from listening.

And I realised this plant feels like unread emails energy 😅

Not grounding.
Not soothing.
Not regulating.
Just quietly demanding attention in the background.

And it made me realise —
not everything that’s “alive” in our space is nurturing our nervous system.

Some things look beautiful but feel like maintenance.
Some things look productive but feel like pressure.
Some things create low-grade stress instead of calm.
Some things feel like admin instead of care.

Our nervous systems don’t just respond to people and schedules — they respond to our environment.

Your home.
Your space.
Your visuals.
Your “stuff”.
Your surroundings.

Some things feel like calm.
Some feel like care.
Some feel like rest.
Some feel like regulation.

And some feel like unread emails.

If something in your space feels like pressure instead of peace — it’s allowed to go.

Nervous system first.
Always 🌿

Bye bye Christmas tree.

Today I ran a chainsaw.
Not because handy with a saw.
Not because I had to prove anything.
But because the job needed doing — and I trusted myself to learn.

Confidence doesn’t always arrive first.
Sometimes it comes after you take the step.

There’s something quietly powerful about doing the things you once thought you needed someone else for.
Not in a hardened way.
In a grounded, self-trusting way.

One tree broken down into manageable pieces.
One more reminder that I can meet life as it is. 🌲

And with a bang, we say goodbye to 2025 ✨
A year that asked things of us.
That shaped us, stretched us, softened us.

As the noise fades and the new year quietly arrives,
this is your gentle reminder that reflection doesn’t need to be rushed.

Before goals. Before plans. Before doing —
pause long enough to listen to your body.

What does it need more of this year?
More rest? More steadiness? More strength? More space?

There is still time to honour what was.
To thank what carried you through.
To release what no longer needs to come with you.

And when you’re ready —
set intentions not from pressure,
but from regulation.
From what helps you feel safe, supported, and at home in yourself.

Here’s to 2026.
May it meet you with steadiness, possibility, and care.

Erin 🤍

Sometimes I look at this plant and think…
she’s just like us.

Give her a little more light → she lifts.
Turn her a different way → she adapts.
Forget to water her → she reminds you gently.
Give her space → she expands in ways you didn’t expect.

Women’s bodies are the same.
We thrive with the right care, the right environment, and the right kind of support — not perfection.

Whether you’re moving through stress, pain, motherhood, peri-menopause, or simply life…
your system is always trying to grow towards balance.

A little nourishment.
A little light.
A little gentleness.

It’s enough. 💛

Your body knows when it’s safe — often before your mind does.

Our bodies are wired for connection — even through therapeutic touch.
When someone safe and attuned places their hands on you, everything shifts.
Breath deepens.
Fascia softens.
Muscles stop bracing.
Your heart rate settles.
Your vagus nerve sighs in relief.
Your whole system remembers, “I’m safe.”

This is regulation in real time — not forced, not talked through, not performed.
Just felt.
Just received.
Just allowed.

It’s one of the reasons I love what I do.
Touch, presence, attunement… they change people.
They bring you back into your body, back into yourself, back into a place you can heal from.

This is the medicine.

✨ If your body’s craving this, I’ve got space this week — you’re welcome here.

This weekend reminded me of something I keep relearning…
Your cup can fill in the middle of real life, not away from it.

Two weekends. Two festivals. Two kids.
Sticky ice-cream hands, late bedtimes, crowds, sunscreen, music, chaos —and somehow it all softened me.

Not because it was relaxing.
But because it was alive.

Joy, movement, singing along, dancing with my kids, letting myself be swept up in the collective energy…
that’s nervous system regulation too.

Healing isn’t always stillness.
Sometimes it’s a beat you can feel in your bones.
Sometimes it’s watching your kids (or yourself) dance like no one is watching.
Sometimes it’s remembering that you exist outside the to-do list.

Your body doesn’t need perfection —
it just needs moments that help you breathe again.
Moments that remind you you’re here.
Moments that bring you back to yourself 🤍

This morning started with yoghurt all over the floor…
while trying to pack lunches, organise school/daycare dropoff, and figure out how to convert mp4 files 😅

But I reminded myself of something I tell my patients all the time:

We don’t need a calm life —
we need a calm body inside the busy one.

I paced my breath.
I finished the lunches.
I cleaned up the yoghurt.
I kept going.
I had a dance, coz the body feels music before the mind does = nervous system regulation.

If your day feels like yoghurt splattered across the floor —
your nervous system can still be held right in the middle of it. 💛

And yes… I did eventually eat breakfast. 😂

Learning that I can’t do everything and be everything all at the same time…
is a necessary lesson — but a difficult one.

And I wonder — how many of us hold the pressure to be capable, calm, productive, present, resilient… all at once?

Sometimes the most powerful shift isn’t more effort.
It’s softer permission.

We don’t have to earn rest.
We don’t have to hold everything alone.
Calm still counts.

If this season is asking for gentleness —
may we listen. 🙏

If today has already asked a lot of you…

Try this outside.
Sometimes fresh air does half the work for us. 🤍

Today wasn’t a treatment day… it was a car-seat-on-the-front-lawn day 🤢

Eden vomited on the way to Warrnambool
so we stopped, stripped everything down,
and rinsed what we could with wipes, sanitiser
and a very deep breath.

Days like this are exactly when the nervous system goes into autopilot.

And that’s okay.

Some days aren’t made to be productive —
they just ask you to get through them
and arrive safely at the other end.

If today has been one of those days for you too…
here’s your reminder you’re still doing enough 🤍
