Liz Bonner 💚 An absolute gem and stalwart at Cloverdale Community Centre
We are pleased to launch a new series highlighting the members of our Committee. At the heart of our work is a passionate and experienced leadership team committed to advocating for and strengthening the Neighbourhood House and Centre sector nationally.
Today, we’re pleased to introduce Liz Bonner, President of ANHCA. Liz brings deep insight and unwavering commitment to her role, helping guide our strategic direction and amplify the voices of our communities across the country.
📌 About Liz:
Liz Bonner is a long-time grassroots community development advocate and CEO of Cloverdale Community Centre based in the northern suburbs of Geelong Victoria. She has a background that spans science, education, and not-for-profit leadership. She began her career as a secondary school teacher and analytical chemist, before finding her calling in adult education and community development, where people, equity, and practical outcomes take centre stage.
Liz is deeply embedded in the Neighbourhood House sector, having contributed to governance across all levels, from local centre committees to the national peak.
She’s a strong believer in the power of organised people to influence organised money and power, and brings deep integrity, strategy, and relationship-building to the table.
