I love to help people get moving, stay strong and mobile. It just has so many benefits for mind and body.. we’ve all heard it!

You don’t have to be the next athlete or run a marathon, you don’t need to exhaust yourself and your allowed to have an off day (I do 😁).

Try set aside a little time for some exercise whether it’s a walk, bike ride, yoga or (for me) pilates! Find something you enjoy and you’ll be more likely to stick with it!

Kinesiology tape!! How’s it work and why use it!
Kinesiology tape is a type of tape often used by therapists along with hands on treatment and rehabilitation.

It’s a very stretching tape that still allows full range of motion through the area taped. The tape is water resistant and can stay on for days.

When the tape is applied to your body, it recoils slightly which gently lifts your skin. This is believed to create a little space between your skin and the underlying soft tissues, improving blood circulation and increasing oxygen and nutrients to these tissues. It may also helps with lymphatic drainage which can help reduce swelling and allow new blood into the area.

It’s believed by many to effect the pain signal pathways and help support injured muscles, tendons and joints thereby reducing pain. It’s often used to treat:

- Muscle strains
- Joint sprains and swelling
- To support weak areas
- Tendinopathies
- Postural issue

Taping may not be a long term solution but it can help as you recover from injury and throughout rehabilitation!

Upper back stiffness? I tend to get a lot of this and I see a lot of people with stiffness and tightness in this area too.
Physical activity along with forms of manual therapy such as osteopathy can help improve soft tissue and joint mobility in the upper spine. Having better mobility and movement through the upper back (thoracic spine) can help to improve a range of issues, such as. ✔️Posture
✔️Neck pin and alignment
✔️Shoulder position issues ✔️lower back issues ✔️breathing capacity
So get MOVING!
Thanks .remedialmassage also for my cupping and release through back and neck! I fell sooo much better 🙌🏼

Take care of yourself this weekend guys! I honestly believe that running yourself into the ground trying to do everything for everyone in the long does not help you or anyone else. Take time for yourself where you can. You body, health and those around you will benefit! 🙌🏼

Your feet and footwear are important!Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that affects many people.

Plantar Fasciitis can occurs when the connective tissues that run from the heel (calcaneus) along the bottom of the foot to the toes becomes inflamed.

There are many things that can attribute to the development of this condition such as repetitive activities, foot mechanics, strength, footwear and many other things.

Osteopathy can help by aiming to release tight structures, improve foot mechanics and strength to better support the foot. If required they will refer you to a podiatrist for further assessment.
