We are developing new Practice Standards for Supported Independent Living (SIL).

They’re being shaped by:

- What we’re hearing from NDIS participants
- Recommendations and insights from reviews including The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (DRC), the NDIS Review, and the NDIS Provider and Worker Taskforce
- Our co-design partnership with Inclusion Australia

and will focus on:

- Quality and safety
- Worker training
- Human rights and participant-centred supports.

We couldn’t let this milestone pass without sharing it with you all. One of our incredible participants recently achieved one of her personal goals—recording her own CD—right here in our in-house studio!

With the dedicated support of our team and the creative freedom provided by our music program, her voice and talent have been brought to life in a truly special way.

A massive congratulations to her on this amazing achievement! 👏
And a heartfelt thank you to our passionate music crew—Helen, Josh, Shannon, Rowan, and Robyn—for bringing this vision to reality through guidance, encouragement, and heart.

🎶 A Disability Service with a Beat! 🎤

While sitting at my desk today, I heard music and singing drifting through the office—coming straight from the Connect You 2 studio! 🎧

Yes, our studio is in the garage, but that hasn’t stopped one of our incredible participants from recording some amazing tracks. I couldn’t resist stepping out to have a listen, and I just had to leave you a snippet. 🔊

This wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing support workers, who have encouraged, guided, and worked alongside our participants to bring their passions to life. Their commitment to making dreams a reality is what Connect You 2 is all about! 🚀
