Kinesiology is a none invasive healing modality that works with the body's inherent wisdom. Just as people suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and carry the weight and manifestations of this psychological phenomena in their minds, emotions
, physical and energetic bodies ~ so too do we carry - and store - the burden of all our injuries, pains and stressors - somewhere in the Self. As you can imagine there is utmost complexity around these storages - and blockages. We are all miracles in motion despite how we think, feel and experience. The liver is known as the seat of anger, and the kidneys are associated with fear. This is just the tip of ice berg in terms of how we internalise, function and create dysfunction in the body. Kinesiology is exceptionally valuable and without bounds as it bypasses the trappings of the mind as per our mind's repression, suppression, sabotage, denial. As a resource it has profound impact on the body at a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and Soul level. Simply expressed as a practitioner of such, Kinesiology can harness healing in few or one session whereas Counselling paradigms can be easily prolonged and manipulated by the mind; which seeks to protect and oft reinforce and perpetuate dysfunction, illness, chaos, splitting, and ultimately great stress. Hence, in Kinesiology we access the bodily and energetic systems, as one would a computer, and clear the body of unhelpful and worn out internalised paradigms that are not serving the individual. Through this process much information can be garnered at times as to why any individual has 'inherited' and whence they have inherited the stressors, pains and malingering(s) that create havoc in the mind, emotions, body and energy fields. As a healing modality Art Therapy is a rich, sublte and profound healing modality that works with the subconscious mind to bring about deepest healing and change. Art therapy is limitless in the processes available when working with both individuals and groups. Art Therapy is Counselling at it's very best. Art therapy has a psychological grounding as per multiple oft adopted paradigms and yet has the capacity to traverse far beyond those paradigms and 'meet the person where they are at'. Art Therapy is fluid ~ just as we are, or ought be. Incorporating the individuality, uniqueness, essence, Soul, voice and being of any client is where the gifts present themselves in relation to healing. Art Therapy supports and validates your unique and individual poetry and experience. There is no such thing as fitting into 'a box' in the wonderment of what IS Art Therapy. Upon providing a sacred and held space much soulful, sensitive, deep, meaningful and rich work can be embraced and embarked upon. Therefore creating potent healing at a Soul level, awareness, insights, joy, narrative, empowerment and life long change as a result. The process of Art Therapy can include art making through drawing and painting, journalling, mandala making, photographic and other pre-made imagery (no you don't have to create if that is a concern), symbols as per sand tray techniques and others. Art Therapy is about making contact with your innermost self and creative seed self as opposed to being a genius artist. Art Therapy is a profound amazing, and unlimited metaphorically rich modality for deeper self awareness and exploration that changes lives. Transpersonal Art Therapy transports us beyond the ego to allow us make contact safely with other aspects of the self, through an archetypal lens, and other lens related to unexplored aspects of self, through creating essential dialogues that stir something magical ~ we truly are magical.
