Behind Every Number is a Child! 🌿
What is the Data Really Telling Us?

Join us for a community conversation about helping children thrive at home, at school, and in our George Town community.

This free AEDC Community Workshop is for families, parents, carers, educators, early years professionals, service providers and community members who want to better understand how children in our community are developing, and how we can work collectively to further support children in the George Town community.

Together we will explore:

✨ What the AEDC data means for our community
✨ How children’s development is measured across five key domains
✨ Simple ways to support children’s growth and school readiness
✨ Community strengths, challenges and opportunities
✨ Ideas and actions we can take together to support children and families in George Town.

We are excited to welcome Jill Clennett, AEDC State and Territory Coordinator, and Michael Dempsey from DECYP to help guide conversations and unpack the local data.

What a wonderful day spent celebrating the mothers, aunts, nans, and other mother figures in our little people’s lives.

Mums were treated to a delicious morning tea with lots of home made goodies made by the CFLC team. Children enjoyed make lots of special gifts for their mums including beautiful framed drawings, decorated biscuits, and handprint cards. Mums were also pampered by their children at the nail salon, and got to take home a special gift from the CFLC as a thank you for all they do in supporting the little peoples of our community.

Remember mums - you’re doing a great job!
