Victoria District Medical Centre is situated in the heart of the city of Geraldton. We have four permanent GP doctors, Nurse Practitioner, fully equipped treatment room with 2 Registered Nurses. The Doctors can provide a full range of care as well as their specialised interests in Obstetrics, Behavioural/Learning Difficulties and Chronic Disease Management. New on offer is Telehealth conferences with participating Specialists in Perth. Saving you time, saving you money. Ask for details. The nurses have specialised interests in ;

We have a well equipped treatment room with an ECG, spirometer, nebuliser and are capable of intravenous therapy, removing skin lesions, joint aspirations and venesections. Discounted billing is available for Concession Card holders and Pension Card holders.

We are excited to announce that as of the 04/02/2026, we will have a new GP starting at Victoria District Medical Centre.

🌿We would like to welcome our new GP, Dr Jia Min Hong (Dr Carmen)
🎓Dr Carmen completed her medical training at Monash University and is currently a General Practice Registrar undertaking training with the RACGP program.
🎾Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through sports such as tennis and badminton
📸She also has a strong interest in photography.
🩺Dr Carmen, is dedicated to providing exceptional care and is now welcoming new patients.

✨We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist. ✨
Being a very busy practice we require the right person who is reliable, efficient, resilient and diligent in all aspects required in this role, and who has the ability to work well within a team environment and independently.
Job type: Full-time, 38 hours per week,
Mon - Fri, including leave coverage when required.
Applicants with previous administration experience preferred.
Role Description including but not limited to:
📞Front desk reception duties
📞Answering incoming calls and making appointment bookings for practice Doctors and Clinicians
📞Handling of Eftpos and other payments
📞Providing a high standard of customer service
📞Patient billing and invoicing to other medical providers
📞Managing confidential medical records
Essential skills, experience & knowledge:
💥Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to communicate at all levels and maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times.
💥Ability to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner.
💥Experience in Best Practice Medical software (preferred).
💥Strong organisational and time management skills along with being productive when working autonomously.
💥Computer literate and troubleshooting abilities.
💥Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
💥Possess a flexible approach to tasks and a strong work ethic.
