Victoria District Medical Centre is situated in the heart of the city of Geraldton. We have four permanent GP doctors, Nurse Practitioner, fully equipped treatment room with 2 Registered Nurses. The Doctors can provide a full range of care as well as their specialised interests in Obstetrics, Behavioural/Learning Difficulties and Chronic Disease Management. New on offer is Telehealth conferences with participating Specialists in Perth. Saving you time, saving you money. Ask for details. The nurses have specialised interests in ;

We have a well equipped treatment room with an ECG, spirometer, nebuliser and are capable of intravenous therapy, removing skin lesions, joint aspirations and venesections. Discounted billing is available for Concession Card holders and Pension Card holders.

✨We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist. ✨
Being a very busy practice we require the right person who is reliable, efficient, resilient and diligent in all aspects required in this role, and who has the ability to work well within a team environment and independently.
Job type: Full-time, 38 hours per week,
Mon - Fri, including leave coverage when required.
Applicants with previous administration experience preferred.
Role Description including but not limited to:
📞Front desk reception duties
📞Answering incoming calls and making appointment bookings for practice Doctors and Clinicians
📞Handling of Eftpos and other payments
📞Providing a high standard of customer service
📞Patient billing and invoicing to other medical providers
📞Managing confidential medical records
Essential skills, experience & knowledge:
💥Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to communicate at all levels and maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times.
💥Ability to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner.
💥Experience in Best Practice Medical software (preferred).
💥Strong organisational and time management skills along with being productive when working autonomously.
💥Computer literate and troubleshooting abilities.
💥Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
💥Possess a flexible approach to tasks and a strong work ethic.

While Wendy may be stepping back from a full-time role, we’re thrilled that she will still be with us in a casual capacity.

🩺 Dr Kala Suppiah is an Emergency Senior Medical Practitioner with a combined 22 years of clinical experiences in Emergency Medicine, General Practice and Medical Education.
🎓 She is a local grad from the University of Tasmania and her 22 years is in the Australian Healthcare System.
🩻 Her passion has led her to undertake a position in General Practice, bringing a unique set of both clinical and procedural skills with expertise that can enhance patient care, improve health outcomes, and contribute to the development of a more comprehensive and compassionate healthcare system.
🧠 With her extensive experiences, she possesses excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
