Calm Pelvic & Lymphoedema

Last month marked the final milestone in my Master of Physiotherapy (Pelvic Health) degree at The University Of Melbourne. I completed my capstone in research, writing a systematic review on the prevalence of dyspareunia in women who have undergone treatment for cervical cancer.

Since then I have been admitted to the Australian College of Physiotherapists and have been certified as an APA Titled Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.

It has been a wonderful 3 years of learning and connecting and certainly a proud moment for me to get to the finish line. Bring on graduation in December!! 🥳

Now I am looking forward to extending my research with a new systematic review in the works alongside Robyn Brennen and my UoM team. (watch this space).

I want to extend a big thanks to everyone who supported me over the last 3 years! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.

Psychology @ Calm is a new service that brings all the warmth and kindness of our Calm brand to the mental health space in Gerringong.

Psychology @ Calm is led by Nick Batty (AHPRA Registered Psychologist and SIRA WorkCover Accredited Practitioner) who has extensive experience in pain and injury support, WorkCover, general Individual psychology and relationship counselling.

Nick is a wonderful, like-minded practitioner for blokes and provides solutions focused therapy. He also brings together mental health care for women and couples.

∆ Calling all professionals!! Office space for lease! ∆

We have just finished adding extra "acoustic" protection to our beautiful front room and it is now ready!!! We are on the hunt for a link minded practitioner or professional to share our space with.

We have a mix of physios and a psychologist in the building and are looking to lease out our front room on a daily or weekly basis.

(Re) Introducing Brittany! Some of you may remember Brittany who worked with us in 2021 before she spread her wings in the big smoke.

Brittany will be joining us as our newest Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and will be spear-heading our exciting new brand: Men's Pelvic Physiotherapy Illawarra Shoalhaven (watch this space!). 👀🙏🤗

Brittany will also be providing wonderful pelvic health services to our ladies and rehab clients!

Brittany is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Women's, Men's & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and is the senior Men's health Physiotherapist at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney.

APA Titled physiotherapists are highly qualified physiotherapists with expert knowledge and skills in their area of practice. They undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure that they achieve and maintain exceptional standards of clinical experience and knowledge.

To our knowledge, Brittany is the ONLY Titled Women's Men's & Pelvic Health physiotherapist in the Illawarra Shoalhaven, and how lucky we are to have working here at Calm.
