The theme for Occupational Therapy Week 2023 is "Unity Through Community", and it speaks to why I love being an OT.

The wellbeing of a person is tied to their sense of belonging. By fostering unity, my clients achieve their personal goals more quickly and become more confident in their community.

Seeing that determination and growth is incredible to see!

This is Dallas, my therapy assistant. If you've come in to see me in the last few months you would have heard the tappity-tap of his claws on the wooden floor!

Having a dog in the office is fun, but it's also helpful in my sessions with kids, because Dallas can help kids to:
● be motivated to come and see me
● feel safe and calm in our sessions
● engage in tricky tasks to help them reach therapy goals more quickly.

He's GREAT working with kids, but he's still unsure about the robot vacuum cleaner in the office!

Well this is all very exciting, isn't it? After resisting for the longest time, I'm finally on Facebook as Growth OT.

If we haven't met, I'm Bettina and I'm Growth Occupational Therapy. I work in Gilgandra and surrounds.

I'm hoping that resources and information that I'll share here will be helpful to clients who are on the waitlist to see me.
