We are beyond proud that Ruby has been selected as one of the finalists for Intern of the Year! We have always known she’s pretty special, turns out others think so too!

Finalists of the 2025 MIMS / College Intern of the Year Award have been announced! Meet the four outstanding finalists ahead of the winner announcement at APP2026 in March.

🌟 Meet Finalist 3: Ruby

Ruby made a measurable difference to her rural community through education, prevention and engagement. During her internship, Ruby delivered contraception education to students in Years 9 -12 in Gilgandra (a town with one of Australia’s highest birth rates) and led a medication management seminar at the local hospital. Ruby’s commitment to public health saw her increase vaccination uptake by 20%, personally delivering more than 1,000 vaccinations to a community of just 3,000 people. Ruby’s work reflects the vital role pharmacists play in improving access to care in regional Australia.
