Do you know what the Fire Danger Rating is in your area over the coming days?

Large parts of Queensland are experiencing heightened fire danger today and over the coming days. In these conditions fires that start may spread quickly and be hard to contain.

We have been busy making sure our crews are ready for whatever the weather may bring, but everyone has a role to play in being bushfire prepared.

🔥 If you are in or travelling through an area with heightened bushfire risk, be aware of local conditions.
🔥 Report any unattended fires to Triple Zero (000) immediately.
🔥 Have a bushfire survival plan so your household knows what to do in the event of a fire.
🔥 Prepare your property for bushfire conditions. Clear loose vegetation and remove excess flammable materials like long dry grass, dead leaves and branches.

My heart exploded when Wade from Smithie's Karaoke and DJ Hire volunteered his time for Phee’s candlelit vigil’s.

Phee would have loved this because besides Wade’s lives with his own super powers… He runs numerous business ventures and WOW , he's kicking goals!

We've heard a few rumours about ourselves lately, however, we'd like to assure you all that Smiley's has NO intention of closing! Yes our SC and PRC has a wait list, however everything is continuing as usual.

Even if we were considering this, our clients would be contacted immediately. Imagine people from your own industry using this tragedy to benefit themselves?? After 23 years of working between the disability and aged care sector I’m actually pretty disappointed.

My journey started as a carer, cleaner and worked in dementia specific units and aged care homes. I’ve worked and studied for the last 23 years to be professionally where I am today. My Company was established at the same time our NDIS Registration was applied for. We were approved for all levels of support that we provide.

Our last Audit in June 2024 was completed as per the NDIS Guidelines. This means we had meet the significant NDIS industry standards which we did with beautiful feedback. This has given my staff a high level of confidence and transparency in their service delivery.

Team Smiley’s won’t let the bullies and trolls WIN and even though I’m not there at the moment, this company has an amazing team that continues to go above and beyond for everyone.

Your disability only defines you if you allow it to and Phee never let hers define her.
