Do you know what the Fire Danger Rating is in your area over the coming days?
Large parts of Queensland are experiencing heightened fire danger today and over the coming days. In these conditions fires that start may spread quickly and be hard to contain.
We have been busy making sure our crews are ready for whatever the weather may bring, but everyone has a role to play in being bushfire prepared.
๐ฅ If you are in or travelling through an area with heightened bushfire risk, be aware of local conditions.
๐ฅ Report any unattended fires to Triple Zero (000) immediately.
๐ฅ Have a bushfire survival plan so your household knows what to do in the event of a fire.
๐ฅ Prepare your property for bushfire conditions. Clear loose vegetation and remove excess flammable materials like long dry grass, dead leaves and branches.
Stay tuned to the QFD website and our Facebook for all the latest information on bushfire warnings and fire bans.
