😌 I hope that your year is gentle & you are able to handle whatever this year throws at you with ease

🍄 The last day of 2024 I went to crystal castle, had an adaptogenic mushroom & ceremonial cacao hot choccy, wandered the grounds barefoot & pondered the year that 2024 was.

🏰 If you are a crystal lover like me, I highly recommend visiting Crystal Castle (just a short drive from Byron Bay). You’ll be in awe at the massive crystals & just how serene the grounds feel. They offer sound healing sessions which left me feeling so zen & light.

💡 Carrying that energy into 2025 with me

G R E E N W A S H I N G 👇🏽

Green washing is all around us…..

What is it you ask?

Well basically it’s a company LYING to you about what’s in their products and what they are doing for the environment.

Manufacturers aren’t even legally required to list all the ingredients in products - meaning items can be labelled “green”, “eco-friendly” and “natural” however have sneaked toxic chemicals into their formulas.

According to the American Lung Association, ingredients in most commercial solutions, sprays, scrubs, cleaners ect. can:
- Be air pollutants
- Be harmful chemicals
- Be flammable & corrosive
- Irritate eyes & throat
- Cause headaches
and last but certainly not least they can contribute to long-term health issues like chronic respiratory problems and allergic reactions.

Some products such as carpet cleaners & dishwasher liquid release VOC’s - volatile organic compounds. Experts say VOC’s can irritate eyes, nose & throat; create difficulty breathing and nausea; and cause harm to the central nervous system & other organs.

In April of 2022, multiple sunscreens were recalled after it was found they contained benzene, a chemical that can cause cancer. Among the sunscreens recalled was the CANCER COUNCIL’S Sensitive Suncream…. interesting right?

How do I know what I’m buying is safe?
You HAVE to check the ingredients and do your research. Avoid any products that have ‘fragrance’ in their ingredient list as this is an umbrella term for over 3000 chemicals.

Avoid products that contain triclosan, formaldehyde, VOC’s, Parabens, Phthalates, Coal Tar, BHA’s & BHT’s, MEA, DEA, TEA, artificial anything…. and that’s just to name a few.

Research and find companies & products with the mission to use from-the-earth, non-harmful, naturally derived ingredients. Young living is a company that is dedicated to providing safe products for our bodies & homes.

‘But low-tox stain remover doesn’t work’

Ummmmm? Where do you get this information from? Did you try and test it for yourself? Or are you just conditioned by the supermarkets and media to think that?

Stains removed with no harsh chemicals or synthetic residues. YES PLEASE 😍
Ladies - it’s even powerful enough to get those period stains out of your fav un**es 😉

All together this DIY cost me roughly $8, glass roller included. Next time I do it it’ll be less than $4 - WAY CHEAPER than those stain removers you buy from the supermarket and much HEALTHIER for your clothes.
