Appointments
Please call 4157 2922 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred GP and time. Emergencies will always be given priority our reception staff will inform you of any delays should they occur. Standard consultations are scheduled 20 minutes. Please notify staff when making an appointment if you require extra time. If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment please call to cancel or reschedule at least an hour prior to your appointment time. 3 non attendances without notification will result in you not being able to make appointments in the future. After Hours Care
Currajong Clinic provides 24 hour care for patients registered with a GP from the practice. Please contact us on 4157 2922 and our answering machine will provide you with the contact number of the doctor on call. Home Visits
Home visits are available for regular patients of the practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. The decision to make the house call is made at the doctor’s discretion. Telephone Access
GP’s may be contacted during normal business hours. If a GP is consulting at the time a message will be taken and relayed to the GP. We cannot guarantee a response on the same day unless deemed urgent by the GP, however either a staff member or GP will return your call as quickly as practicable. Scripts and Repeat Referrals
We encourage appointments for repeat scripts, referrals and travel forms 10 minute appointments are available for these services. Nurses
Nurses co-ordinate chronic disease management, diabetes care, veterans care, PTSS travel forms, vaccination for children and travel and influenza. Test Results
Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Please call between the hours of 10am-4pm and our reception staff will advise you of the doctors’ instructions regarding each test result. Management of your personal Health Records
Your medical record is confidential. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of all personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Your Rights
If you have any problems we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your GP or our support staff. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your concerns, suggestions and com- plaints seriously. However, if you wish to take the matter further and feel that you need to discuss the matter outside of the surgery there are several options available including: The Medical Registration Board, AMA or the Health Complaints Commission at:
