Gisborne Osteopathy would like to welcome Dr Timothy McCormick (osteopath) to our team.
Dr McCormick is a local of Gisborne and Bullengarook with six generations on either side of his family residing in these areas. His heritage in the community is supported by involvement in various organisations including Gisborne Football Netball Club, Gisborne Basketball Club, Riddell’s Creek Basketball Association, Sunbury Basketball Association and Gisborne Fitness Centre to name a few. Dr McCormick enjoys most sports but has competed in basketball and football throughout most of his life, and currently focuses on weight training.
Dr McCormick completed his osteopathic studies (Bachelor and Masters) at Victoria University after already completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne with a major in Human Structure and Function. He has particular osteopathic interests in rehabilitation, strength & conditioning, functional movement patterns, sporting injuries and the use of a wholistic approach with treatment and management of patients. He also enjoys using structural osteopathic treatment techniques across most areas of the body.
Dr McCormick will be joining the team at Gisborne Osteopathy with a current evidence-based knowledge, a modern osteopathic understanding and working after hours to accommodate for city commuters and full-time employers/employees.
