Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week – 2–6 September 2025

This Women’s Health Week, we’re joining Jean Hailes for Women’s Health in encouraging all women to put their health first. Too often, women prioritise the wellbeing of others and delay their own check-ups or health conversations.

This week is about starting those conversations, breaking down stigma and making health a priority.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we’re here to support women in every stage of life through accessible, compassionate care. Some of our services include:
✔ Well Women’s Clinic – providing a safe, private and confidential space with a Registered Division 1 Nurse
✔ Chronic Pain Support Program
✔ Heart Smart Cardiac Rehabilitation
✔ A range of fitness classes
✔ Social Support Programs

Your health matters — don’t put it off.

Call us today on 5428 0300 or visit mrh.org.au to find out more or book an appointment.

Let’s use Women’s Health Week as a reminder that caring for yourself is the first step to caring for others.

Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week

This week, we join the Butterfly Foundation in shining a light on the importance of building healthier relationships with food, body and self.

With 1 in 3 Australians reporting they are dissatisfied with their body, eating disorders are among the most serious but misunderstood mental health conditions. BIEDAW is about breaking stigma, raising awareness, and reminding our community that support and recovery are possible.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we are proud to play our part. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians provide compassionate, evidence-based care for:
✔ Disordered eating support
✔ Building positive food and body relationships
✔ Digestive and chronic disease management
✔ Nutrition support across all life stages

We work with a weight-inclusive, person-centred approach, guided by Health at Every Size (HAES) principles.

If you, or someone you know, could benefit from dietitian support, we’re here to help.

Call 5428 0300 or visit mrh.org.au to learn more.

Let’s stand together this week to support awareness, challenge harmful stigma and empower every person in our community to feel confident in their health journey.

Bold Voices, Bright Futures – Wear It Purple Day 2025

Friday 29 August 2025 is Wear It Purple Day. We proudly support this event which focuses on championing the voices and dreams of LGBTQIA+ young people. This year's theme, “Bold Voices, Bright Futures”, invites us to amplify and celebrate rainbow youth so they feel heard, loved, seen and supported.

At Macedon Ranges Health, inclusion is embedded in our every day practices.

We stand with LGBTQIA+ young adults by:

✅ Ensuring safe, welcoming environments—both in-person and via telehealth—for everyone in our community.
✅ Supporting local LGBTQIA+ events and partners, reinforcing social connection and belonging.

Join us by wearing purple on Friday 29 August to send a message of support to our LGBTQIA+ community: Your voice matters. Your future is bright. You are supported.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we proudly support Bullying No Way Week—a national week of action that empowers schools and communities to take a stand against bullying.

We believe it takes courage to spark change, and kindness to help it grow. Whether at school, at home or in the community, bullying should never be accepted.

This year’s theme reminds us to:
✅ Be bold and speak up if you see bullying
✅ Be kind—support those who need it
✅ Take a stand and help create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone belongs.

Together, let’s build a community of respect, empathy and connection.

Junior Chefs Back in Action!

Our Junior Chefs were back in the kitchen these school holidays – and what a delicious adventure it was! This time, our budding cooks rolled up their sleeves to create their very own pizzas, juicy burgers, and fresh guacamole.

Guided by our amazing dietitian, the sessions were filled with hands-on fun, new skills, and lots of smiles. It was great to see so much teamwork, creativity, and confidence from our young chefs.

We can’t wait to cook up more fun next time – keep an eye out on our socials for our next holiday program!
