What we practiced in class today!! Binds!
Binds in yoga aren’t just about mobility they create containment, stability and deeper awareness in a pose.
In poses like Marichyasana, the bind can:
✨ Deepen the twist
✨ Open the shoulders and chest
✨ Massage and stimulate the digestive organs
✨ Build focus and body awareness
✨ Contain and direct prana (life force energy)
The bind isn’t about forcing your hands to meet it’s about wrapping the body with awareness and support from your centre.
