Acupuncture 🤝 Period Pain

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, period pain isn’t just a monthly nuisance—it’s a sign of imbalance in the body. Different types of pain can indicate different underlying issues:
🌿 Dull, heavy pain → Often linked to Qi and Blood stagnation—your body’s energy isn’t flowing as it should.
🔥 Sharp, stabbing pain → May signal Blood stasis, which can contribute to conditions like endometriosis.
💨 Cramping, cold pain → Could be due to Cold in the uterus, restricting circulation and causing discomfort.
🌊 Pain with bloating & mood swings → Tied to Liver Qi stagnation, often worsened by stress.

At Pearl of Health, I am super passionate in helping women understand and manage their period pain naturally. Using a combination of acupuncture, laser acupuncture, and moxibustion, I works to restore balance, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation—especially for those struggling with endometriosis.
✨ You don’t have to accept period pain as “normal.” If your body is sending you signals, it’s time to listen.

Book a consultation today and take the first step towards a pain-free cycle.

🪩 What Your Poo Says About You: A Chinese Medicine Perspective 💩

At your appointment we will carefully diagnose your dysfunction based on your Systems Analysis, but here are some pointers to get you started while you wait gor your appointment date:

🧻 Hard and Dry Stools: This could indicate excess heat or a lack of fluids in the body, often tied to imbalances in the Stomach or Large Intestine. Adding cooling, hydrating foods like cucumber and watermelon might help.

🧻 Loose or Watery Stools: A sign of a weakened Spleen or too much dampness in the system. This might be related to stress, overwork, or poor dietary habits (like excessive cold or raw foods). Warm, cooked meals can be beneficial.

🧻 Alternating Constipation and Diarrhea: This pattern could be linked to Liver Qi stagnation, often caused by emotional stress. Relaxation techniques like deep breathing may help rebalance the system.

🧻 Foul-Smelling or Sticky Stools: This might indicate food stagnation or excessive damp heat in the digestive tract. Avoid overly greasy, spicy foods and incorporate bitter greens such as kale.

🚽 Don’t suffer with gut dysfunctions, book in with me at Pearl of Health to have one less thing to worry about 💩 🌟
