I believe that your body has been created to heal itself, and when it doesn't there is an issue (known as the 'cause') involved. Most therapies deal with the 'symptom' - the problem you present with. Though treatment of this will help for a short time, repetitive treatments and ongoing reliance on the therapist is required. Alternatively, quality diagnosis of the cause, alongside effective treatment strategy equals minimal treatments and maximum results!

Big news this week as we thank and farewell Kayhill from admin support and welcome a new team and family member to our business.
Starting Thursday (August 14th) the beautiful Anna is now in charge of all reception and booking tasks for those of you who don't love online systems.
Not only will she be available between 8am-5pm weekdays to take all your bookings, she will talk to Stu and I regularly to make sure you get in when and where you need to.

We work hard to get you in if needed on the day as pain (or needing to be induced for that baby) cannot wait over the weekend. This loyalty to your need will not change and together we will work to make things happen with a quicker response time to your queries.

Graduating in Physiotherapy (NZ) in 1995, I added a further post-graduate Diploma in Acupuncture to my tool belt in 2001. Having owned and operated four private practices (including a gym), my many years of experience have enabled me to branch into areas of health previously not covered conventionally. These include all women’s health (from infertility through to pregnancy, incontinence and pre/post menopause) - treatment of anxiety through to cessation of smoking, auto-immune disorders and pain syndromes. In essence I love the challenge of finding the underlying ‘cause’ to your ‘symptom’.
Gladstone has been my home for 14 years to date, though I am a Kiwi - having also lived and worked in the US and Canada in addition to NZ and now Australia. There is nothing I do not treat, though love any issue which is chronic and beyond hope, including all neck and back pain, sciatica and everything in between. I guess my many years of experience have afforded me the ability to have many special interests which I continue to grow in every day!
When you see me, expect a fast and accurate diagnosis, easy referrals to extra testing (MRI, hormone levels, inflammatory food markers, medical specialists) with very specific treatment aimed directly at the underlying cause of your issue. In achieving your freedom, I will utilise hands-on therapy only (joint manipulation and mobilisation) with acupuncture - no machines, and exercise therapy utilised only to cement the healing. In essence I believe that your body has actually been created to heal itself, and when it doesn't there is an issue (the ‘cause’) that needs addressing. This is the challenge I love!
Aside from my medical background, it is my love for many things which defines me. A musician (drummer / pianist / singer), Christian, mum (Josiah, Elisha, Lilah-Rose) and wife - there is not much I say ‘no’ to. From cycling to simply breathing in the beautiful Calliope air, I am happy to be blessed to share my passion for living with our community and with you.
