Plagiocephaly and torticollis are common in babies, and with gentle stretches, play, and education, we often see big changes in just a few weeks.

It’s not about doing everything perfectly - just starting early and getting the right support.

Did you know? According to a 2018 study, engaging in prenatal exercise can reduce the risk of pregnancy-related conditions by 25%:

♥️9 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise for pre-eclampsia prevention
♥️13 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise for gestational hypertension prevention
♥️19 minutes a day of moderate-intensity exercise for gestational diabetes prevention
♥️22 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise for preventing prenatal depressive symptoms

Moderate exercise is anything in which you can still hold a conversation. This could be pilates, walking, resistance training, swimming ect. If you can’t get it done everyday you can split it to do more on some days than others. The research shows if you are able to do more exercise then this it can lead to a further reduction in acquiring these conditions.

Hey there, I’m Bridie! If you’re new here or haven’t seen me pop up in your feed for a while, here’s a little reintroduction:

I’m the owner and physiotherapist at Thrive Physiotherapy Services. I grew up just down the road in Miriam Vale and have been a physio since 2019. Over the years, I’ve done lots of extra training, but my main passions are Pilates, women’s health, and paediatrics (including incontinence). I’ve been working for myself full-time for over a year now, and while I’m currently at capacity, I love the freedom my job gives me and the chance to help so many families in our community.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me out on the water or camping with my partner, book in hand (fantasy lovers, I see you – IYKYK). I love most genres of music which makes for a very fun and diverse Spotify wrapped 😂. I’m also slightly (chronically) obsessed with coconut water and really want to love olives… but no matter how many times I try, it’s still a no from me (a passionate no).

I’m so grateful to do what I love every day, and I’m excited to keep helping our little community thrive.

I am so excited to introduce the fresh new look for Thrive Physiotherapy Services! While our brand remains the same - rooted in warmth, fun and customer focused care - I wanted the logo to truely reflect that energy.
