Last night, I was trying to talk with my son about flexibility, and he wasn’t listening. And I got so frustrated, trying to get through to him. It took me a few minutes before I started laughing with myself, realizing how rigid I had become, trying to force my son to understand the concept of flexibility!

And the insight that came to me:

Whenever I get too rigid, I break easily.
But whenever I can catch myself and find awareness in the moment, I discover nuance and flexibility, and it becomes much easier to bend and find my way back to connection.
