π Our Theme From Last Week - Sun Salutations Flow π
Some of us may feel like our Sun Salutations are the "boring part" of our practice but these flowing movements help us in so many different ways:
1) Stretches, strengthen, extends and flexes hundreds of our body's muscles,
2) Distributes prana or energy through our bodies,
3) Regulates our breath to help center our thoughts,
4) Encourages better circulation to our muscles,
5) Calms the mind with predictable and repetitive movements, and
6) Allows us the opportunity to check in with ourselves in preparation for our practice.
During the week, we deconstructed our Salutations and focussed on different elements within each movement, letting us tune into our body, mind and breath even more.
We also used the gesture of Surabhi Mudra to help fulfill our wishes (and challenge our dexterity).
