🎶 I’m hearing in the rain… just hearing in the rain 🎶

Gladstone’s had no shortage of wet weather lately and while the rain can be relaxing, it can also make everyday sounds harder to pick up. Rain on tin roofs, traffic spray, umbrellas rustling, conversations muffled under awnings… it all adds to background noise that makes hearing clearly more challenging, especially if your hearing isn’t what it used to be.

That’s where good hearing support really matters. At The Hearing Centre, the focus is on helping people hear confidently in real-world situations, not just quiet rooms. Back at the desk, headset on, and listening closely… 👂

It might look like Alan never left, but here he is... fully back and hearing his way into 2026 at The Hearing Centre. While everyone else was turning the volume down over the break, Alan's ears are straight back into charts, beeps, and the classic “left or right?” questions.

If your hearing’s been working overtime through the holidays (family catch-ups, grandkids, or just a bit too much background noise), now’s a great time to get it checked. We're here listening, and yes — Alan can hear you just fine.

It feels like we didn’t even take a break… 👂😄

But here we are – back, switched on, and ready (and hear) for 2026 at The Hearing Centre. Whether it’s the return of noisy workplaces, busy households, or the “can you hear me now?” moments that never seem to take a holiday, we're back in the chair and listening.

If your hearing didn’t get a rest over the break either, now’s the perfect time to get it checked and start the year hearing things clearly again. 2026 is already making noise – and our team is here for it.

Merry Christmas from The Hearing Centre 🎅✨

Even Santa needs a little help hearing sometimes especially with the roar of reindeer, the jingle of sleigh bells, and a workshop full of enthusiastic elves. (Let’s just say North Pole noise levels are well above recommended limits!)

Today, The Hearing Centre wishes all of our clients and the entire Gladstone community a warm, joyful, and safe Christmas. Thank you for your trust, support, and the many moments you’ve shared with us throughout the year. Helping people hear the important things in life is a privilege we never take for granted.

May your Christmas be filled with laughter, connection, and all the sounds that make the season special from family around the table to the quiet contentment of a well-earned holiday break.

HOLIDAY HOURS – THE HEARING CENTRE 🎄🎧

Before things get too festive (and before Christmas music reaches full volume everywhere I go), I wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up…

The Hearing Centre will be closing at 12 noon on 24 December and will reopen on 29, 30 & 31 December (closing at 12 noon each day).

We’ll then be closed on 1 and 2 January and back to normal hours from Monday 5 January.

Our team needs a little time to switch off, relax, and rest the ears after a big year of hearing checks, fittings, conversations, and the occasional “Pardon?” 😅

Over the break we'll be:
🔊 Comparing Christmas cracker volume levels
🎅 Turning the TV up only one notch — out of habit
🎁 Listening carefully for which presents are for us
🦗 Trying to ignore the backyard cricket that thinks it’s a rock star

If you need anything before the break, i.e. batteries, appointments, advice, now’s the perfect time to drop in.
