End of an era:

Today i am happy to publicly anounce that my family company of 44yrs has been sold to Universal cranes.

I was born the same year my parents Neil and Beth Matherson founded the company in 1979.I joined the company in 2000 My sister Tanya and i retired mum and dad in 2009 and in 2012 i aquired 100% ownership.

Since then along with my fantastic management team and wonderful work force we continued to grow a brand that we are all very proud of.

I could not be happier with how this chapter has come to an end and am more than confident Adam Bauer and his wife Sarah of Universal Cranes Central Queensland will continue to serve our over 500 customers very well.

Special mentions to: Neil and the late Beth Matherson. Tanya Prentis (Matherson). Kym McBryde, Jason Williams and Kurt Williams. My dreams were realised so much easier with people like you around me

Our 100t Demag has been busy helping private and industrial clients achieve their required outcomes. 💪

The private job was to place a 40ft contaier over a house into the back yard.

The industrial job was lifting out 20t Kato into a bunded area ready for a week long shutdown.

Our 250t team recently assisted Gladstone Regional Council in the removal of the access bridge to Agnes waters main beach after the footings got washed out.

It was another job perfectly executed in a tight working location.

Clean up and reload day and ready to go to Agnes waters for 3 days on Monday🏝

Lately im am starting to forget what the 250t looks like....... For that matter the rest of the fleet as well!! Not a bad problem to have at all in the equipment hire game😊

The team have been working tirelessly and this weekend i decided to block out for anywork to allow them all to recharge, spend time with family.

We currently have a crew working on Heron Island. Pretty tough gig for the crew when due to restraints of being so remote meams they are stuck there for a week and at best have 4 lifts to do.

Im starting to wonder why i didnt send my self with pics like this 🤷‍♂️

Picture perfect winters evening for our 250t Liebherr and crew fully stacked with 88t of counterweight 💪working Sunday afternoon shift to catch the high tide.

The task was to lift an 18t precast slab off its casting bed at 27m radius, slew 180deg and place onto a barge at 26m radius.

The job was done with ease and efficiency by the team.

Day 2 of the Mt Larcom show for 2022 done and what a wonderful day it was.Perfect weather and a great crowd full of faces familiar and new.

A futher $100 and $400 were won today and the lego technic and scale model cranes have been drawn and the lucky winners will pick them up this week.

Thank you all for your support in raising funds for RFDS and Gladstone Hospital Auxiliary The amount raised will be finalized tomorrow😊

Both me personally and as a company we could not be more proud to be allingned with such a wonderful community event. If you didnt catch us this year we are excited for some great things for 2023.

Lastly to the MCH team and family members that help make this possible thank you for your contributions🙏

Day 1 of the Mt Larcom show was a blast. With two lucky winners taking $300 and $400.

It was definitely ladies day in the basket with all of our female staff, my partner and my sister going up to enjoy the veiw.

Massive thanks to my team and the show commitie.🙏

We cant wait for Day 2 with 2 more chances at $1000 and the draw of the two crane models to go. Come and help us raise funds for the RFDS and Gladstone Hospital Auxiliary.
