July Newsletter
Dear Yogis,
As we move through the heart of winter, July invites us to reconnect with our inner strength — not the loud, forceful kind, but the quiet, grounded resilience that builds with each conscious breath and mindful movement. Nature may be resting, but beneath the surface, life continues to grow — and so do we.
Your yoga practice can be your anchor during this season, reminding you that even in stillness, you are building strength, presence, and steadiness.
⸻
🧘♂️ Pose of the Month: Reclined Cow Face Pose (Supta Gomukhasana)
This gentle yet effective hip-opening pose helps release deep tension in the glutes, outer thighs, and lower back — areas where we often hold emotional and physical stress. Practicing it on your back encourages surrender and softness while building inner awareness.
Try this: Lying on your back, cross your knees and gently hug them in. Use props to support your head or knees if needed. Breathe into the resistance and stay for 8–10 breaths on each side.
⸻
🕉️ Sutra of the Month: Yoga Sutra 1.14
“Sa tu dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkāra-āsevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ”
“Practice becomes firmly grounded when done consistently, with devotion, and over a long period of time.”
Let this sutra be your reminder that true strength isn’t built in a day — it’s cultivated gently, patiently, and with care.
