POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH is my jam...
So today I called 5 people that I knew were 'doing it tough'.🥰
And asked...R U OK?
1. One chatted for 10 mins and felt better
2. The next burst into tears
3. Third person just needed to vent about an upset
4. Fourth person had baked a cake for their neighbour
5. Fifth person I left a message & they said they'd save it on their phone for the next time they were not ok...& reach out to me.
How do we ask someone if they are OK?
Say the words - "Are you OK?. Listen. Encourage Action. Check in.
One conversation can change a life....
And always listen to your gut instinct.👌
Today is R U OK? day, yet in my books, it is meant to be a daily practice and a loving reminder that it feels good when someone genuinely cares.🙏
