Staying Hydrated after Surgery can be uncomfortable but its so important for your weight loss goals and for your health.
1. Take it slow! Start small with your sips, and gradually work your way up to full-on hydration queen status.
2. Straws are your BFF: Not only do they keep you from drinking too much too fast, but they also make you feel like royalty.
3. Bubbles are overrated: Save the fizz for your champagne, because carbonated drinks are no good for your post-bariatric bod. Stick to plain H2O or decaf beverages.
4. Sip all day, every day: Don't wait until you're parched to take a drink, keep those sips coming all day long!
5. Make it a party in your mouth: Bored with plain water? Add a little flavor with lemon, lime, or cucumber slices. Your taste buds will thank you.
6. Eating and drinking don't mix: Give your food a chance to digest before you start sipping. Wait at least 30 minutes before and after meals.
7. Keep track like a boss: Always have a water bottle on hand, and keep track of how much you're drinking so you never miss a beat.
8. Listen to your body, it knows best: If you're feeling uncomfortable, slow down and give yourself a break. Your body will let you know what it needs.
Stay hydrated, gorgeous! Your body will thank you for it
