Northeast Wellness

Northeast Wellness Offering natural health solutions and holistic healing. We are hear to guide and support you in unlocking your health potential.

I have a passion for wellbeing and movement. When these elements work in harmony together a person is able to realise their potential to live a fulfilling life. I have worked as a yoga teacher for almost ten years and in that time have seen the effect that biomechanical changes to the body can have on a person's mental and physical wellbeing. This passion for helping people realise their potential led me to undertake a Diploma in Remedial Massage. The combination of these modalities will advance my ability to support and inspire people to improve their health and wellbeing through movement. Please contact me via email or on my Instagram page

Ever feel like your body’s quietly asking for a timeout?

It doesn’t always shout — sometimes it whispers through:

- Tight shoulders that never quite soften
- Shallow breathing or restless sleep
- Headaches or tension that come and go
- Feeling “wired but tired”
- Snapping at small things that wouldn’t usually bother you

These are gentle signals that your nervous system needs a reset — not more pushing through.

A relaxing massage can help bring you back to balance: easing muscle tension, calming the mind, and switching your body out of stress mode so it can finally rest, digest, and repair.

Your body’s been holding you up all year — it might be time to hold space for it, too. Book your relaxation massage today.

Your subtle reminder to refer that friend that desperately needs a massage.

My business is built on referrals and the highest compliment you can give me is to recommend my treatments to your friends, family and colleagues.

Your trust and satisfaction are the foundation of my business and I am deeply grateful for your continued support.

And as a thank you, you both receive $25 your next appointment. (Just remind them to drop your name when they book).

October marks that subtle shift — the quickening pace of the year, the to-do lists that get longer, and the quiet part of us that whispers “I’m tired.”

It’s easy to push through, but here’s the truth: our body doesn’t respond to speed with strength, it responds to space — to rest, breath, stillness, and time to process.

Slowing down now doesn’t mean giving up on your goals.

It means arriving at the end of the year with energy left, with presence for the people and moments that matter.

Take the walk.
Stretch between tasks.
Say no when you need to.
Let slowing down be your way forward

So I've banged on about resetting and resting.. so WTF am I up to now?

Right now I am working on a few at home gym programs for some of my clients and navigating what 2026 is going to look like in the clinic and at the gym.

My son starts school next year which is super exciting and will hopefully provide some consistency in our family schedule... here's hoping..

I sent out a survey a little while ago and you mentioned that afternoons/evenings were a good time to book in so I am trying to work out how to make that happen while still being available to take my kids to their afterschool activites.

For now I best get back to the programming, I love designing movement programs to people that match them and where they are at in their movement journey.

I recently returned from a 2-night Rest & Restore Retreat in Warburton, a digital detox designed for true rest and recalibration.

The days included sound healing, qigong, massage, hypnosis techniques, meditation, abundant vegetarian meals, and plenty of restorative downtime — a complete nervous system reset.

Stepping away from devices and daily responsibilities offered a valuable reminder: rest isn’t indulgent, it’s essential for clarity, creativity, and sustainable energy — both personally and professionally.

(And fun fact: I actually won the retreat in an Instagram giveaway — talk about divine timing!)

After my stay I left feeling deeply recharged and ready to return to work with renewed perspective and grounded focus.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the retreat (something that had been on my vision board this year but felt like it was too out of reach). As a person who holds space for others for a living to be able to step into a space where I could just be without the need for justification and allow myself to slow down completely was honestly the best fu***ng thing.

I am now even looking ahead to 2026 to see when I can go back.. maybe for a 3 night or 5 night stay next time... hmmm could I live without coffee for 5 days... (yeah there's no caffeine).

Ask me any q's in the comments.

In case you missed it I got sick just as we switched over into Melbourne spring. And when I say I was sick I WAS SICK! In two weeks I went through 3 boxes of tissues, multiple sets of pjs each day due to fever sweats, countless ice cubes, 2 seasons of Buffy, dropped nearly 7kg kilos* and nearly lost my mind from being stuck in bed and not being able to walk to the bathroom without having to rest.

It sucked!

Since then I have been taking incremental steps towards returning to health and myself. I was fortunate enough to attend a restorative retreat at the end of September that certainly cemented in my mind & body the importance of taking it slow and listening to myself (I'll share more about next week).

Here are the simple and relatively free things I have been doing to help me reset after being unwell:

- staying on top of my hydration (all the fluids all the time, including the beverages I enjoy like coffee and Coke Zero, but avoiding alcohol)
- eating for fun (keeping meals colourful & enjoyable)
- resting without the need for justification
- saying no to social engagements in place of nights at home on the couch
- getting some sun (with and without sunscreen, I know, controversial)
- walking to work 1-2 times per week
- hitting the gym 2-3 times per week (2 strength sessions and 1 fun do as I feel & listen to what my body is craving sessions)
- 1 pilates session
- staying in contact with friends (vital, especially as we head into the tailspin that is end of year)
- putting my phone down
- reading or listening to an audio book
- listening to music and dancing as much as possible

Seems like a lot but really it isn't...
I don't do all of this EVERY DAY!
I am choosing to live and be happy, for the most part.
It ain't perfect.
And yeah, I'm tired.
But for right now, this feels right.

Your list may look different, and in a week or a month mine may too.

You do you - but listen to yourself and take care.

Forget the “all in or nothing” mindset.

New habits don’t have to mean dramatic change!

Instead, start with one small thing — one stretch, one walk, one mindful pause.

Build slowly, and let consistency win over intensity.

The gentler the start, the stronger the foundation.

Spring invites us to reset, but not with force or pressure. Setting intentions from a place of kindness means asking, “What do I need most right now?” instead of “What should I be doing?” When we lead with compassion, our choices naturally align with our wellbeing.

Sometimes it’s not the big overhauls that change everything, but the small, steady shifts we make each day.

A 10-minute stretch, a mindful breath before bed, choosing water over coffee just once.

These little choices build momentum — and over time, they create real, lasting change... trust me, I've tried the quick fix (haven't we all) - they don't last.

Write is down, stick it on your fridge or your mirror... small shifts, lasting impact (we are all doing our best, and that looks different every day).

Ways to Reconnect & Reclaim Your Range through Movement:

Morning stretch in bed – Before getting up, take a deep breath, reach your arms overhead, and wiggle your toes. Think “be like a cat”

Slow, mindful walking – Notice your steps, your breath, and the sway of your body.

Shake it out – Stand and shake your hands, arms, and legs to release tension.

Gentle joint circles – Roll your shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles slowly.

Breath-led movement – Let your breath guide a simple stretch or twist.

Floor time – Lie or sit on the floor and notice the contact points of your body.

Micro breaks – Take a moment each hour to stand, reach, and roll your shoulders.

Dance to one song – Move however feels good, no rules apply

These movements aren’t about fitness goals or “doing it right” — they’re about listening in, softening the noise, and remembering you have a body that’s here for you. Even two minutes can shift your mood, clear your mind, and reconnect you with yourself.

If you are after more formal / guided movement please reach out to me for recommendations. (it’s kind of my thing)

Movement with me can be in a 1:1 or 2:1 capacity.

Why I love personal training...

It allows me to truly connect with each client, meet them where they’re at, and tailor sessions to what their body and mind need most. There’s something really special about watching someone grow stronger, more confident, and more at home in their body.

I offer:
- clinical pilates
- personal training 💪🏻 (you set the tone here, what do you want to work on?)
- yoga therapy (think clinical pilates with a yoga flare)
- exercise prescription (when you are working with injury management or have movement limitations)

BASICALLY each session can be tailored to YOU.

All in person movement is down at the gym (conveniently 100m from the clinic at BETTER WITH SARAH)

If you've always wanted to try personal training but are not sure if it's for you or how to make it work then send me a DM and let's talk.

Touch is a powerful, often underrated tool in supporting burnout recovery—both physiologically and emotionally. Here's how it can help...

Nervous System Regulation

When you're burnt out, your body often lives in a constant state of stress or fight-or-flight. Safe, nurturing touch (like massage or myotherapy) helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system—the "rest and digest" state—allowing your body to down-regulate stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. If you're a person that does not like massage, a hug (from a friend or yourself), a weighted blanket or even laying on your stomach can help.

Oxytocin Release

Gentle, supportive touch boosts oxytocin—a hormone that fosters feelings of trust, connection, and safety. This can counteract the isolation and emotional depletion that often comes with burnout.

Body Awareness

Burnout often disconnects us from our physical self. Therapeutic touch brings awareness back to the body—encouraging you to feel into areas of tension, exhaustion, or disconnection, which is a step toward healing.

Trust with the Body

Receiving consistent, intentional touch reminds your nervous system that it is safe to slow down. Over time, this helps you re-establish healthy boundaries with stress, and feel more grounded and resilient.

Sleep & Mood

Many people report deeper sleep and improved emotional regulation after massage or bodywork. When you feel physically more settled, your emotional state often follows suit.

Therapeutic Touch Options:

- Remedial massage for physical relief of muscle tension and pain
- Myotherapy to address dysfunction or fatigue in the body holistically
- Reiki or energy-based touch to restore emotional and energetic balance
- Self-massage or pressure (eg. hands on chest or belly) to self-soothe in moments of overwhelm

Burnout is not just mental—it's physical, too.

Touch helps bridge the gap between the two, offering a way back to yourself when you feel like you've been running on empty.
