Not everyone with macular degeneration needs supplements.
The evidence suggests it's beneficial to a subset of patients with AMD. If you've got intermediate AMD, or advanced AMD in one eye, formulated high-dose supplements can reduce the risk of progression to advanced AMD by about 25%.
However, supplements don't prevent AMD, and they won't help in early stages or wet AMD.
Always check with your optom or ophthal before starting high dose supplements as they may not be clinically indicated.
A good diet on the other hand, is always clinically indicated.
It's also worth noting, given the AREDS and AREDS2 evidence (links below), newer formulations replaced beta-carotene with lutein and zeaxanthin. This is due to a correlation between lung cancer and high dose beta-carotene in previous and current smokers.

Bridge fit is the difference between glasses you forget you’re wearing… and ones you’re adjusting all day.

Too loose? They slide.
Too tight? They dig in.
Either way, you’re not looking through the right part of the lens.

And that matters more than people think, especially with higher scripts or multifocals.

If your glasses don’t sit where they’re meant to, your vision isn’t at its best.

Good fit isn’t just comfort. It’s clarity.

Daily vs monthly contact lenses and why I almost always will choose dailies (even if you ask me not to!)
Monthly lenses look cheaper at first but once you factor in solutions cases, and real life habits, it usually ends up pretty similar.
And clinically, I just see more issues with monthlies
More deposits, more irritation, more pushing them longer than intended or not cleaning them properly or replacing cases. There are so many variables in monthlies.
Dailies remove a lot of that.
Fresh lens every day. Minimal to no build up.
Less relying on perfect hygiene.
It is not about pushing the more expensive option it is about reducing risk to your ocular surface long term. Sometimes monthlies ARE the only option for a patient, and that's ok too!
Please remember, contact lenses are not just convenience, they are a medical device sitting on your eye.
