The GT-2000 13 is part of ASICS’ stability line, specifically designed to offer gentle guidance for overpronators. It includes the LITETRUSS stability system, which replaces the DuoMax medial post used in previous versions. LITETRUSS is an integrated feature on the medial side of the midsole, providing extra support where overpronators typically need it without the added weight or rigid feel of traditional posting. This system helps guide the foot through a natural gait cycle, making it suitable for moderate overpronators or runners looking for a supportive option without sacrificing flexibility. When tested with a foot orthoses this feature was further enhanced.

Upper and Fit

ASICS has redesigned the upper of the GT-2000 13 with a new Engineered Knit material. This knit upper provides a breathable, adaptive fit that stretches with the foot for a customized feel. It is available in several width options.

Outsole and Durability

The outsole of the GT-2000 13 uses AHAR (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) in high-wear areas, especially on the heel and lateral forefoot. I found this provided excellent traction and allowed a smooth toe off transition due to its flexible forefoot grooves.

Overall a great shoe and consistent too between ranges. Its upgraded features are welcomed.

The ASICS Blend 2024 football boots are meticulously designed to combine style, comfort, and performance on the pitch.
The upper is crafted from premium synthetic materials that offer durability, flexibility, and superior touch and feel on the ball. Reinforced stitching ensures longevity, making the Blend a reliable choice. It’s extremely light too which is deceiving when looking at the boot on the shelf.

The Adaptive Fit System provides a snug and comfortable fit, reducing slippage. The Gel cushioning technology enhances comfort and responsiveness and with this and its 10 mm heel pitch it proves an excellent option for someone requiring protection from hard surfaces and or who has needs to unload there calf / hamstring complex.

The multi-stud configuration ensures reliable traction and stability on various playing surfaces, allowing players to maintain their footing and control even in challenging conditions. . The stud placement and number are perfect although can get clogged easily on over muddy surfaces. Great though at distributing stress evenly through the heel and forefoot.

Overall the is a great boot. We often call it the career saver due to the ultimate protection it provides the feet and legs. It fits an orthotic well and is a perfect AFL boot to anyone requiring these additional features.
