Cognitive Principle Therapy [CPT] used that design format to define its own meaning or teaching purpose.

• Principles: Originally was an adaption of Stephen Covey's "7 Habits" and the concept of the "Tree of Good & Evil"
Character Ethic =Principle Thinking [Conscience]
Personality Ethic=Comparative Thinking [Based on fear & greed]
• Oneness: Originally came from the concept of the "Tree of Life" where there was oneness and no judgment or comparisons. Self & Others were one.
• Hope: What is require to move towards oneness.
• Self & Other: The Self has to unconditional give and unconditional accept Others to achieve oneness. The Self has to find the truth, then trust Others to achieve oneness.
• Obstacles: The four main obstacles working against achieving Oneness are Hopelessness, Fantasy, Paranoid Fear and Apathy.
The pathway into Oneness is very narrow and much has to be left behind [mainly ego] to find your way in.
• The first step is to achieve "Oneness" in Self by understanding what Dr. Iain McGilchrist's book "Ways of Attending-How a divided brain constructs the world" says referring to the Right Hemisphere [The Master] and the Left Hemisphere [The Emissary]. In CPT the left brain searches for the Truth, and the Right brain Trusts.
• Truth is found with the left head brain, but only when it matches the Truth in the Gut brain [in Psychology, these are Core beliefs]. Trust arrives in the right head brain from the Heart Brain. This leads us into Polyvagal theory and Neuropsychology, following the nervous system from the bottom-up, not the top-down as in a conventional way.
• Trust comes from the core beliefs in the gut brain and travels through the Polyvagal named "Engagement" nerve. This nerve is found in all animals and was present in Homoerectus, 1.9 million years ago. It was originally for safety [safety in numbers]. To be safe with Others, you need to trust them. Homosapiens [us] now control all other animals because of this process of building safety in numbers.

WAYS OF ATTENDING & COVID19 PREDICTIVE OUTCOMES
Cognitive Principle Therapy is based on left hemisphere-right hemisphere “Ways of Attending” as published in the book [2019] of the same name by Dr. Iain McGilchrist, Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. If you use his concepts to compare with the CPA’s [Certified Practising Accountants] publication on 24th July, 2020 titled “7 predictions for the new normal post-pandemic” it is obvious that the big shift from the left brain thinking of the last 200 hundred years while move somewhat to right brain thinking.
Prediction 1-Capitalism will continue, but not as we know it
“We cannot strictly apply only financial benefits to a relationship” [left], “People are thinking that it’s more important for us to have a collective benefit-to have good health care and be prepared-than to amass more money in big industry” [right]
Prediction 2-It’s what you do, not where you do it.
“74 per cent of businesses intend to shift some employees to remote work [home] permanently.” [left] However, “people will still choose to work from offices next year because humans crave connections” [right]
Prediction 3 -Cybersecurity takes centre stage
Prediction 4-A new era of hyper collaboration
“Collaboration will shape new business models” [right]
Prediction 5-A multipolar future for Asia
“Covid-19 may facilitate the emergence of a truly multipolar Asia, where power is not dominated by one country, but distributed among many.” [left]
Prediction 6- Adaptability beats efficiency
“The businesses that survive-and eventually thrive-are those that have prioritised adaptability.” [right] “This is not to say that adaptability will come at the expense of efficiency. Its just a different way of structuring the business”
Prediction 7-Empathy trumps ego.
“Certainly, ego-led style leadership has been an absolute disaster [left][in Covid]”. “Empathetic leadership that is will to change its mind.” [right]
FUTURE OF COUNSELLING
Relating this to counselling, “Principles” as proposed by Cognitive Principle Therapy, that is Trust, Respect, Acceptance and Commitment [right], will take precedence over Cognitive Behavior Therapy [left], which most of GP’s will write down on Mental health plans. Principles look inward, then outward, rather than behavior, which looks outward and then inward.

YOU HAVE A GUIDANCE SYSTEM WITHIN YOU.
Don't take things personally, unless it is a physical threat. This is a basic teaching of Cognitive Principle Therapy. A system of handling negative challenges exists within us. Follow that system to solve your problems. When you go outside that it will feel like a personal attack.
Fear= The attack
Anger=The Defense
Sadness=Hurt
Criticalness=The Evaluation on how to fix the problem.
Confusion= The Head response until it is fixed
Anxiousness=The Heart response until it is fixed
Guilt=A further response if you contributed to the attack
