To the most amazing team at Klint who not only put in more than a 110% into what they do, make a huge difference to people with disabilities but also for showing their talents at dodgeball, making it to Christmas lunch (the sunny version, unlike our earlier Christmas Greek lunch with rained out lawnbowls) and drinks and making it a merry year in 2023!

We couldn't have done it without you and your passion and dedication!

Wishing everyone a restful and wonderful festive season and see you in 2024!

We are thrilled to introduce to you a new member of our Highett team! 😊

👋 Meet Thomas, a neurological physiotherapist at Klint. He has a wide range of neurological experience with special interests in the management of clients with Stroke, Vestibular and Movement Disorders.

We asked him what he enjoyed most over his first few weeks and he said:

✨ Being able to see a wide range of neurological presentations.

✨ Getting to know his passionate and hardworking colleagues.

✨ Seeing how happy Klint’s clients are to see their Physiotherapists.

When asked what he is most looking forward to in his new role he said “just having fun whilst working closely with my clients and sharing the joy when we achieve their meaningful goals. 🏅Also, learning from each of my teammates, who have a wealth of neurological physiotherapy experience.” 🥰

Outside of work Thomas enjoys playing basketball 🏀 (he’s pretty good at it too!) and spending time with his closest mates where they are currently on the hunt to find Melbourne’s best trivia location! 🎤

Welcome to the Klint Family Thomas! 🦄

Meet Mel 👋

Mel is our Intake Officer at Klint. Her role is to give our new clients the best welcome and onboarding experience!

Since joining Klint, Mel has been able to use her previous experience to improve our onboarding process. Which has given our clients and referrers a real positive experience when engaging with Klint.

What Mel loves most about her role at Klint, is being able to work with such a dedicated and professional team, creating a positive change for our clients.

Outside of work Mel enjoys spending time with her 3 boys - who keep her on her toes! They enjoy playing basketball and exploring things they find on family walks. 🐛🍂

They are also looking forward to geocaching again once the weather gets warmer. 🌞

Welcome to the Klint family Mel! 🥰

💫Our dream team💫

At Klint we believe that connection, collaboration and team work are the keys to a positive work environment.

Last Friday, our admin team spent the day together. Throughout the day we participated in team building activities, developed a new process and most importantly connected with the team.

Feeling 😃!

Another stellar day of learning happening at Klint where we had the pleasure of hosting Richard from Urgoform who brought out Meywalkers and Pacers for us!🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️

Keegan also showed us how to engage and activate the lower limb while lying, standing and walking. Lots of awesome tips and tricks for clients to use and more tools for our clinical toolkit!✌️✌️✌️

We now have the Pacer, Epacer and Treadmill base available at Forest Hill that will now form part of our Gait Clinic and core neurological physiotherapy and allied health assistant service! This fills a much needed gap where clients who normally are too heavy can now be walking over flat ground with the best stepping strategies! 👍

This means

✅Less sitting
✅More physical activity
✅Better bone density
✅Reduced spasms
✅Reduced aches and pains
✅Stronger legs and upper bodies
✅More endurance for activities
✅Less fatigue
✅Less pain
✅More inclusion and equity
✅More chance of community walking
✅Less deterioration
✅Better quality of life

We hope to see some of you come out to see the magic happen in our four walls! 🤩

👋 May Connection Day - The Arm Edition!

💪We started the adrenaline flowing by pairing our ladies up and gents up in our first arm wrestling single elimination contest - congrats to Alysson and Matt for taking out the title and again to Matt even if additional advantages!

🙏 Big thank you to Priya and from NeuroMuscularOrthotics who came out to show us the exciting MyoPro device, a one of a kind AT for paralysed arms and hands that can be worn for everyday function and learning!

✌️We also took 4 hours to learn from our Clinical Director on how to activate and increase strength and activity in paralysed and stiff upper limbs using our unique power machines and also a couple of activation techniques for the hand, thumb and forearm!

🍻 We finished the day with a lovely social outing with bowling and drinks!

Thanks everyone for pitching in!
