🌡️🔥 Hot Flushes Aren’t Just Annoying!
They Can Be a Heart Health Clue🌡️🔥
Most women are told that hot flushes are simply an annoying part of perimenopause or menopause.
But did you know that frequent or severe hot flushes are linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease?
Big studies are finally catching up to what so many women feel in their bodies:
✨ The InterLACE study (over 500,000 women!) found that women with severe hot flushes and night sweats had about double the risk of non-fatal cardiovascular events like heart attack, angina or stroke.
✨ The long-running SWAN study showed that women with frequent hot flushes had a 51–77% higher risk of later cardiovascular events, even after accounting for things like blood pressure, weight and cholesterol.
This doesn’t mean hot flushes cause heart disease.
But it does mean they can be an important early warning sign that your cardiovascular system is under stress and that your hormones, nervous system and metabolic health may need support.
Why does this matter?
Because women are so often dismissed with “your blood tests are fine” when in reality their symptoms are telling a much deeper story.
When we support:
💛 Healthy estrogen balance
💛 Thyroid + adrenal function (and Cortisol)
💛 Blood sugar + inflammation
💛 Nervous system regulation
💛 Gut and liver (hello, bile flow!)
…hot flushes often improve and we reduce the downstream risks.
Your symptoms are not random.
They are information.
And they are worth listening to.
If you’re experiencing persistent or intense hot flushes, this is your sign to dig deeper, not just push through.
