Neurodiversity celebration week is a time to celebrate the neurodivergence in our community.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we recognise the unique strengths and experiences of neurodivergent people. Everyone deserves healthcare that is accessible, understanding, and respectful of their needs.

Our clinics are designed to be inclusive and accommodating, with staff passionate about person centred support and creating safe, supportive environments for all.

We also provide education programs such as SHIELD, helping individuals and professionals better understand s*xual and reproductive health through an inclusive lens.

Neurodiversity is about valuing difference, removing barriers, and ensuring that every person can access the care, information, and support they deserve.

Were you born in 2001? You are now due to start cervical screening!

❗ If you are a woman or person with a cervix aged 25-74 and have ever been s*xually active, you should do a Cervical Screening Test every 5 years.

🏥 Did you know there are 2 options for having a Cervical Screening Test? You can have a doctor or nurse collect your sample, or collect your own sample at a doctor’s surgery.

Visit 🖥️ https://www.health.tas.gov.au/cervical-screening or email 📧 canscreenpeu@ths.tas.gov.au for more info.

💜 International Women’s Day💜

Today we celebrate the resilience, strength, and achievements of women everywhere — from our communities here in Tasmania to women across the world. International Women’s Day 2026 is about Balancing the Scales — ensuring every woman and girl is safe, heard, respected, and free to shape their own future.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we know gender equality means equity in health care, autonomy in decision‑making, and justice in access to services. Whether supporting s*xual and reproductive health, navigating endometriosis and pelvic pain, or providing menopause support, we are advocating for compassionate, inclusive care at every stage of life. Because when women thrive, communities thrive. 💜

💛 March is National Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

Endometriosis affects millions of people assigned female at birth, yet many still experience long delays in diagnosis and care. Persistent pelvic pain, fatigue, and heavy or painful periods can significantly affect daily life — and no one should have to manage it alone.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we provide a supportive, person-centred approach to endometriosis and pelvic pain. Through our Persistent Pelvic Pain Pathway, we offer coordinated, multidisciplinary care, with access to:

✔️ GPs experienced in endometriosis and pelvic pain
✔️ Pain management support
✔️ Pelvic physiotherapy
✔️ Dietetic support

Together, our team works to help you better understand your symptoms, manage persistent pelvic pain, and explore treatment options that suit your body and your life.

If you’re experiencing painful periods, heavy bleeding, or discomfort that disrupts your life, we’re here to help. 💛

💛 Random Acts of Kindness Day 💛

Kindness starts with you — and it doesn’t have to be big. Taking time for self-care, listening to your body, and being gentle with yourself are powerful acts of kindness.

Kindness in our relationships matters too. Respect, consent, open communication and support all play a vital role in our mental health and our s*xual and reproductive health. When we feel safe, informed and supported, we’re better able to make choices that are right for us.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we’re here to support you with respectful, inclusive and confidential care — because looking after your s*xual and reproductive health is an important act of self-care.

Today, and every day, choose kindness for your mind, your body, and your relationships. 🌱

🍩🍕🥠 What do donuts, pizza boxes and fortune cookies have in common?

They’re all featured on the new condom box designs from Sexual Health Quarters — and we’re excited to help share them this National Condom Day!

The fun, eye-catching imagery is a great conversation starter, helping to normalise condoms and make s*xual health information more accessible and less awkward.

At Family Planning Tasmania, we believe inclusive, s*x-positive education is key to supporting safer s*x, informed choices and healthier relationships. Creative approaches like this help break down stigma and reach people where they’re at.

Condoms protect against STIs and unplanned pregnancy — and they should be easy to talk about and easy to access.

Happy National Condom Day ❤️
