Get involved in shaping the future of Spinal Cord Injury Research!

The Spinal Research Institute's recent report found that only 4.6% of SCI research in Australia included people with lived experience in co-designing or delivering research.

A Consumer Engagement Program has been created & they are looking for people with lived experience of spinal cord injury who want to:
✅ Learn more about research and how it works
✅ Take part in studies or clinical trials
✅ Share their insights to help shape future research

Your experience matters — and your time will be valued and remunerated.

A great turnout at our first Monthly Social in Launceston today, held in collaboration with the Launceston Wheelies at Grain of the Silos.
We had 13 in attendance, and it was fantastic to connect with so many awesome people. The group, enjoyed chatting all things lived experience as wheelies, sharing stories, ideas, and support. A big thank you to Victoria Wardlaw, Katherine Reed and the Launceston Wheelies for their support in making it such a success. See you all next month!

Would you like to know more about how to give CPR to someone in a wheelchair?

ParaQuad Tasmania is excited to collaborate with Elisha Deegan, PhD candidate at Western Sydney University, who is leading a project exploring CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) for wheelchair users.

We’ll be hosting training sessions at the Glen Moore Units on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November — and we’d love our community to be part of it!
Sessions are free and limited to 5 participants per session, so don’t miss out.

This is a fantastic chance to support inclusive emergency response education that recognises the needs of people with physical disability and spinal cord injury.

📧 To register or find out more, email Elisha Deegan at 22061159@student.westernsydney.edu.au
📄 See flyer for full details

Together, we can help create a safer, more inclusive community.
