It's NAIDOC Week 2025! 🦘πŸͺƒ

A week to celebrate to and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples – the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

The theme this year is "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy."
NAIDOC Week marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of honoring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. The 2025 theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.

Wise Life Services pays its respects to the First Nations People of nipaluna/Hobart, the muwinina people and palawa and pakana peoples of lutruwita/Tasmania. We acknowledge the deep history and culture of this island and today’s Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the enduring custodians of the lands, seas, sky, and waterways of lutruwita/Tasmania.

Yesterday we celebrated Ellen's 25th birthday and it was great to see everyone join together for a celebration and some cake, as well as some cuddles by Lucy the rabbit and Barney the dog.

We are always keen to celebrate participant milestones and have more social events planned. We intentionally find opportunities to encourage enriching friendships and social connections, which defines our building friendships organisational value.
