Birthday magic in the house!
We loved celebrating with Dallas this week for his birthday. Everyone joined in for the fun, and cake of course. It was great to see everyone join together for a celebration and be in great company.

We are always keen to celebrate participant milestones. We intentionally find opportunities to encourage enriching friendships and social connections, which defines our building friendships organisational value.

A couple of weeks ago Justin and Dallas went to the Tasmanian Transport Museum ๐ŸŽ๏ธ๐ŸšŒ and enjoyed it so much they went again today and brought along friends!

This afternoon four of our participants Justin, Dallas, John and Hayden and two of our superstar staff members Jen and Manny went to the Tasmanian Transport Museum to try out the new train ride ๐Ÿš‚ from Glenorchy to Berriedale and to have a look around the museum. Everyone enjoyed looking at the old trams which used to travel around Hobart until 1960, including Tram no. 46 built in 1922 (pictured below).

Our support workers work alongside people to provide active support, assist with skill development, and promote community involvement.

Welcome to 2026. We are happy to share that our our accommodation participants have been busy in the garden learning how to grow vegetables. ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿฅฌ๐Ÿซœ

It is so wonderful to see these impactful skills and commitment to watering the garden each day.

We're keen to "Aim High" this year, which is one of our organisational values; everyone can reach for their goals and dreams and be encouraged to be the best person they can be.

Wise Life will be financially supporting a larger gardening project, so keep an eye out.

Today was a great day to celebrate the end of the year for our building friendships program, the Game Time LAN Computing activity for 2025!

This afternoon we had a Christmas party BBQ for all participants in our accommodation program.

It was great to see so many smiles, fun playing cricket and sharing laughter as we reflected on this year. We've been hearing so many great achievements and we're so proud of all our participants on their continual journey of living independently.

Have a happy Christmas ๐ŸŽ and New Year! ๐ŸŽ†

At Wise Life, we are a pet-friendly organisation.
Today Support Worker superstar Maria bought her 6 month old Chihuahua ๐Ÿ• puppy called Dotty to work, getting cuddles from our participants Dallas and Justin.

Maria often brings Dotty to work and says that every participant enjoys interacting with Dotty.
