📣 Closure: Australia Day Public Holiday 📣

Our medical centre will be closed on Monday, 26th January in observance of the Australia Day public holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday, 27th January, with our regular hours.

As we acknowledge this day, we reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation and respect for the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work. We honour the rich history, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we stand in solidarity for a future built on understanding and unity.

We’re excited to welcome Dr Rasouli to our growing medical family, starting 6 January!

Dr Rasouli will be available to care for our community every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with alternating Saturdays — making it easier for you and your family to access quality care.

With a broad medical background that includes general practice, hospital, and specialist experience, Dr Rasouli is currently completing his GP Fellowship training at our medical centre. This means he offers a well-rounded, thoughtful approach to both everyday health concerns and more complex conditions.

👨‍🔬Dr Rasouli has a special interest in chronic disease management, chronic pain, and men’s and women’s health, and is passionate about preventive care and supporting patients to stay well long-term.

Welcome to January, the start of a new year and an important time for women’s health: Cervical Health Awareness Month. 💙🎗

It’s time to have an open conversation about cervical screening. While we have a world-class screening program in Australia, the statistics show why we can't be complacent. In Australia, nearly 1000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year.

But there is incredibly positive news: Cervical cancer is largely preventable.

Almost all cases are caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The current Cervical Screening Test (which replaced the old Pap smear) is more effective than ever. It looks for the presence of HPV before cancer has a chance to develop.

If you are aged 25 to 74, have a cervix, and have ever been sexually active, you should have a Cervical Screening Test every five years. Don't rely on symptoms, as early changes often don't have any. The best protection is regular screening.

As the festive season approaches, we want to let our patients know our upcoming changes to opening hours.

Our team will be taking a short break on the upcoming public holidays, but we are here for you on the following days:
Wednesday 24th December: 8am-4pm
Thursday 25th December: CLOSED
Friday 26th December: CLOSED
Saturday 27th December: 8am-12pm
Monday 29th - Wednesday 31st December: 8am-4pm
Thursday 1st January: CLOSED
Friday 2nd January: 8am-4pm

Normal hours will resume from Saturday 3rd January.

Our DHM rooms will be closed from 22nd December, reopening their services from 5th January.

💊 Reminder: Please check your prescriptions! If you are running low on medication, please book an appointment before the public holidays to ensure you are covered.
