“Gout” is a condition which has been well documented though history and illustrated by artists down the centuries.

Gout is caused by the build-up of uric acid crystals in the joints, most commonly the joints of the feet and hands, causing them to become inflamed, swollen and of course, very painful.

One of the causes of this condition is diet, with certain vegetables and certain fortified wines exasperating and aggravating the condition. Some people also have a pre-disposition to suffer from Gout.

The big 50 is a landmark – an achievement

We have just hit the big 50 – albeit we are a business venture which did not exist 2 years ago.
My wife, Anecita, had an idea, use dried herbs in capsules to improve the acceptance and customer experience of therapeutic herbs traditionally provided as the tinctures and teas which had a bad name for their awful taste.
We started our basic business research, analysis and viability testing (due diligence) in January 2014.
Anyone who has tried a herbal tea or tasted therapeutic plant extracts will agree the plant materials which do you good , actually taste terrible.
We opted for a “delivery system”, the gelatine capsule, as well as being a convenient packaging, delivering a standard dosage, also protects the consumers tongue from being “offended” by the herbs / plant extracts therein contained but which will do them good once in the stomach.
By May 2015 we had 3 products available to sell: Anxiety/Depression, Slimmers and Quit Smoking these were quickly accompanied by several more blends and by September we were up to about 25 individual blends.
A lot of other activities revolve around developing blends:
Research the actual herbs / plant extracts to use
Check they do not produce a “mutual repulsion”
Sourcing the physical herbs / plant extracts.
Sourcing capsule shells and bottles.
Designing and producing labels.
Selecting and upgrading the way we fill our capsules and bottles
Most important - finding prospective customers
We started with our own clinic sales and the internet, then tried street markets – where we could be exposed to a moving and changing parade of several thousand people a week.
Clinic and internet sales are limited but are growing, slowly. After a couple of disappointments and changes to different venues, markets have developed and now support us with a following of repeat customers who also refer us to their families and friends and we have even established a number of local and exporting distributors
So now we have a few channels for finding and helping customers: direct contact (Clinic and Markets), the internet and appointed distributors
Back to the Big 50 – well we are now 20 months or 86 weeks or 600 days old; so “chronology” clearly has nothing to do with the “50” I mention.
Our Big 50 is – the number of different product blends we have developed.
The most recent are the 5 blends in the “Liver” range: Liver Support, Cirrhosis Therapy, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, which, as I write, I have still to add to our website.
We have doubled the number of available blends since September 2014 and each blend provides its own contribution to the “Quality of Life” our customers seek
So Total 50 fabulous pure and natural traditional herbal blends
Our range covers many common issues which people face in their lives but what has been outstanding is the way two blends, one for Menopause and the other Arthritis, have shot to sales prominence.
Menopause is a condition which every woman will experiences when just one lady tried it she found the benefits so good, she referred 6 of her friends to use it and they went on to refer their friends too.
Likewise our Arthritic blend has added “Quality of Life” to a lady who had endured almost 30 years of pain... she phoned us the following day to tell us how thankful she was that she found us and has gone on to refer us to many other folk and her own naturopath who is now a distributor and stocks our products in her retail store.
Of course, that is just the experiences of two blends – all the others are just as effective and here is the role-call:
