What an incredible year it has been!

We have loved supporting all of our patients on their hearing and communication journeys.

Thank you to the GPs, ENTs, Occupational Therapists, Paediatricians, Psychologists and Speech Pathologists who have invited us to provide audiological care to their patients. We’ve loved collaborating with you.

It has been an enormous privilege to serve you all, over the past 12 months.

And a big thank you to the team for being amazing neighbours at Burnside Village and for amazing coffee each & every day.

Yes, this is a real thing!!!!

This morning my little listeners & I ventured up to Woodside to Melba's Chocolates to enjoy delicious melted chocolate & marshmallows while we waited patiently to meet Nicole from Nifty Entertainment.

We drove away from Melba’s well stocked with delicious supplies to sample, while we waited for the Hear.Think.Speak Audiology equipment to be calibrated back down at Burnside Village. Most delicious calibration day ever!

Classrooms are tricky listening environments. Even when a child has normal hearing, listening difficulties can still be present.

An Audiology assessment is an important part of the differential diagnosis process. It can help rule out hearing or health issues that may be contributing to a child’s listening and learning challenges.

Nearly 50% of children identified with language or literacy challenges or neurodiversity will also demonstrate Listening Difficulties (LiD) or an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).

Starting this week, Hear.Think.Speak Audiology clients who experience temporary conductive hearing loss will have access to new fleet of hearing devices.

Our loan service is designed to provide improved access to sound for children and adults who have conductive hearing loss and who need
🖤 Support while waiting for surgical intervention
🖤 Are not eligible or do not wish to undergo surgical intervention
🖤 Improved hearing to ensure Speech Pathology intervention is meaningful
🖤 Improved hearing to continue to fulfil work, social and educational commitments

T H A T ‘ S A W R A P for Tinnitus Awareness Week 2025. Across Australia and Internationally, consumers, ENT Specialists and Audiologists all shone a light on the invisible. Thanks to Deafness Forum of Australia, , and for making your presentations and press engagement available so that your messaging could be heard by such a broad audience. Huge thank you to everyone who shared their Tinnitus story over the Week. I T W A S T O O L S D O W N at the start of the week to mark the beginning of another year. Not bad starting Monday with for breakfast. Since Lego is a big hit in our home at the moment, the kids chose me a set for my birthday. It turns out you are never too old to own your first Lego set. And after my bricklaying apprenticeship over the Summer Holidays, I think I’m well placed to be considered as a Team Mate for in a future series 😉 I’m not familiar with this series of Friends Lego. I’d love any insights into the mini figurine, Luiz who is a unilateral cochlear implant recipient. Very cool. Comment below with any fun facts for me!
